The cabins themselves are beautiful. The area is spectacular

  • 2 of 5

We had several issues in the cabins pertaining to maintenance. There were several things that were not working properly that could have been fixed ahead of time to make the stay more enjoyable. We were also told that it sleeps 45 but came to find out there was only enough sleeping arrangements for 26 people. As long as you bring your own air mattresses and or sleeping bags to put out on the floor then you could get up to proximately 45 people perhaps. The kitchens need to be stocked better with cooking equipment and spices and the appliances need to be in good working condition as well as enough stocked items such as paper towel, soap, etc. We had toilets that were not working, faucets that were not functioning, and several lightbulbs that were burned out. The dishwashers we're not secured and anchored to the cabinet.

Owner's Response: We are so sorry things were not as perfect as we would have liked for this group. We thought it was clear on our site that we have beds for 26 and that the higher number of guests would require bringing sleeping bags or other sleep gear. This group was given the key to our linen closet and allowed to use the extra linen there to accomodate the misunderstanding. We have changed the site to hopefully make the need for extra bedding for numbers above 26 clearer. We have easily accommodated 45 guests in the past. In fact our cabin is a favorite for large groups that return year after year, including youth ministries and reunions. This was our last group of a busy, wonderful season in spite of the complications of the fire, and we will make sure all maintenance is taken care of during the off season. Our three kitchens are well stocked with beautiful dinnerware, pots and pans. We also provide slow cookers, pancake grills, toasters, coffee pots etc. If there is something specific needed I hope patrons will let us know and we will remedy the situation. We do not provide spices as that can be a thing of such individual taste and preference. We do try to make sure plenty of paper towels, TP and hand soap are available. We are so sorry it was not adequate for this group. It is such a joy to provide a place that has brought wonderful memories to so many of our patrons and it is our goal to continue to do so.

Family Reunion in Style

  • 5 of 5

The owners were great to work with, friendly, and prompt. When the fires were in the canyon they kept us as informed as they could. The damage of fires to surrounding country was sad, but the area around cabin and Brian Head were carefully spared by excellent firefighting. We had our family reunion here and there were so many little gathering places that it never felt too crowded. The facility was comfortable and in great taste. There were plenty of fun summer activities for all of our interests. Beautiful scenery all around.

Lovely, peaceful setting.

  • 5 of 5

We had a family reunion with a mix of adults and children. Everyone enjoyed the large game room, ping pong and the hot tub. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms! Beautiful town. We did the zip line on our way out!

Beautiful cabin

  • 4 of 5

We had our family reunion in Brian Head this year, 17 adults and 25 children. We all fit nicely at this lodge with everyone who needed a bed got one. The location was great with some fun mountain biking trails nearby. THe little lake in town had fun fishing where everyone caught and released to their hearts content. The three kitchens had plenty of room to store our food and we were able to find all the cooking stuff we needed between the three. THe pool table, foosball and big screen downstairs kept our teenagers happy. There was some water damage from the previous group splashing around too much in the hot tub, but Debra and her husband were able to accomodate our needs. They are quick to respond to messages and super nice. The four bedrooms downstairs are connected two and two, but we were able to make it work. There is an outdoor fire pit right outside the back door, although we didn't use it because of the fire danger. We left on the day the big fire started and are hoping this cabin was able to survive. We are so sad about all the acres burned in the last few weeks. We love Brian Head.

Great House for Large groups and multiple families!

  • 5 of 5

First and foremost the homeowner was amazing to work with! We had a few minor issues, and they were quickly and graciously resolved. We had 8 families (34 kids and adults) stay for four days to go skiing/snowboarding (about 3 minute drive to Giant Steps/5 minutes to Navajo) in early February. The house never felt cramped! The layout is a little different with three different yet connected spaces (North House, South House, Basement). However, the separate spaces allowed for everyone to have either the quiet or the excitement they were looking for. In addition, the three separate fully functioning kitchens meant that everyone could cook for their own respective families, and then get together when we all actually sat down to eat. The cabin has a real authentic mountain feel, with really nice views, and the log home construction is on point. The bonus that we found for our group which no one mentioned was the sloping back yard that was an awesome sledding run that the kids spent hours on. If I was to mention one item of clarity for anyone staying in this home (this may not be an issue for every group) it would be that the basement bedrooms are interconnected. Basically the arrangement is that there are 2 bedrooms on the north side of the basement, and 2 bedrooms on the south side. Each of these 2 bedroom configurations share an entry door, and you have to go through one to get to the other. Not a big deal for a family with kids, but could be a little awkward for separate families. Our group worked around it with no issues. Overall the house was incredibly comfortable, very clean, and we would unequivocally stay here again. The house is perfect for a family retreat...
