About James Logan
Hi, I'm James. I was born in Kent, grew up in London, worked in Japan for over 20 years and moved back to the UK in 2012. I've sailed a lot over the years but recently do mostly long walks around the UK and around Bridge. I enjoy camping and staying in other people's holiday lets in the UK and France. I used to spend 14 hours a day in a suit but now I'm either digging, planting or painting a wall !
James Logan purchased this House in 2015

Weekend away -2 families
Great place for 2 families with young children - having two separate cottages meant naps and bedtimes were easy. The bigger cottage has plenty of space to socialise and eat together. Playground opposite and huge garden.
Properties were lovely and very comfortable. Would happily book here again.
Superb Cottages in perfect setting
We had a wonderful 2 days in Bridge celebrating my daughters 30th birthday. 9 adults and 3 children under 4. The cottages are beautifully equipped and we wanted for nothing. James could not have been more helpful. My only very minor complaint is that the double beds in Tulip cottage are pretty small and even though we are both normal size it was a squeeze. Larger couples might find this a problem. I only mention this as I feel a review should always be totally honest in both pluses and minuses. This fact in no way detracted from our great enjoyment of the stay but I felt it worth mentioning. Overall this is a really superb property to stay in.
Perfect cottage with perfect host!
Perfect cottage that is equipped with everything that you can think of. From the moment you enter the front door(coat hanger, small bench, thick doormat) the kitchen(microwave, oven, fridge , kettle, coffee maker, stovetop, dishwasher, toaster, washing machine, 2 large garbage bins & all the utensils one would need) , the bathroom (toothbrush cup, shampoo basket, shower squeegee) and the flooring is heated as well as there’s a functioning fireplace we could use. And the most important thing of all is that the whole cottage is clean. Sparkly clean. Sometimes, a holiday home can be fitted with amenities but it’s not as clean as it should be. But this cottage is amazingly clean. James and Aiyoki are so accommodating and very thoughtful host. They think of everything to the last small detail into the cottage. You can see the effort they put into making the cottage a lovely holiday home. And it’s easy access by public transportation. Just a few minutes walk to the bus stop to get into Canterbury town. James was so thoughtful he gave us a full timetable of the buses that comes and goes during our stay. Thank you.
We miss the cottage and hope to come again next time!
Spacious, well equipped, very clean cottages in cute village in the countryside
I booked this for a family get together. Lots of space, lovely village (great food at the White Horse Inn) and really well equipped cottages. Lived the cosy fireplace! Communication beforehand and check-in and check-out were great service. Really easy to get to from London and from Eurotunnel. Rooms cosy and beds very comfortable. Lovely big bathroom with modern shower and separate large bath.
Only downside is that only one of the rooms is big enough to fit a cot for a baby/toddler and no cot available (although there is a high chair).
Family celebration in Bridge
We booked Bridge Cottages to bring family together for birthday celebrations. The properties and garden are perfect for this. Spacious social areas inside and out and well equipped.
The gardens are beautifully kept and very private. We hired a bouncy castle to keep the kids entertained which scarcely took up any space in the large grounds.
The stone steps and sloping lawn proved a little tricky for my elderly parents but not impossible with some help.
We hosted a BBQ and had some extra day guests. The outside seating and BBQ area were perfect for this. Really handy to have the extra kitchen space up there too. My only slightly negative feedback is that the fridge and freezer space is a little limited for large groups. No actual freezer, just ice boxes in the top of each small fridge. We had an electric cool box with us which gave us some extra space but I feel the property could do with a large fridge/freezer for the number of people it accommodates.
We all had a fabulous weekend at Bridge Cottages and were blessed with amazing weather. Definitely special times to remember. Thanks James!
