About Nuno de Jesus
Hello, we are Nuno and Sandra de Jesus from Crawley in the U.K. and would like to welcome you to Cottage Quinze It was always our dream to repurpose the old cottage that has been in our family since anyone can remember In 2016 dream finally became a reality as we stared to build our dream cottage and finished in time for our summer holiday Period. We really wanted to combining the best of both world... a rural setting, where you can sit back and relax letting the word go at the same time all the luxury and modern facilities that we have grown accustomed too. I believe we have achieved this very well. We chose Ponta Delgada because of the unspoiled scenery and the peacefulness of the village. The fact that Ponta Delgada is my home town had nothing to do with it... I truly believe you will not be disappointed and will recommend us to your friends and come back next year and enjoy the beauty that Madeira has to offer. All the best Nuno and Sandra

Why Nuno de Jesus chose Ponta Delgada
Cottage Quinze has a tasteful mix of modern and classical architecture, this early 19th century building was restored and adapted for your holidays needs, in which the traditional stone building exterior was retained and compliments the modern / contemporary interior incorporating a mezzanine floor that created the open plan living environment and adds a unique spacious addition to the building.

Peaceful and Calm
Lovely cottage in a peaceful and calm setting. Extremely kind and thoughtful mother of the owner nearby. I would recommend this property to anyone.
Was great, thank you!
We stayed at the house for 4 nights. It is very clean, well decorated and we found everything we needed.
The owner does not live close, but his mother is there. The atmosphere is calm, there are chickens at the back yard and we got fresh eggs every day...
When we arrived it was February and cold. We asked for some heat and the attentive owner took care of that right away!
Thank you for taking time to give us a review.
Glad you have enjoyed your stay with us.
A bit of paradise in Madeira
The accommodation surpasses the photos! You should have a car to stay here. It was a treat to have such a large house and access to a patio set under the grape vines, plus an outdoor dining table with an umbrella that seats 6. The clothes washing machine was a definite plus and there is an outdoor line to dry clothes. The unit is newly built and the appliances, furniture and spa like bathroom are wonderful. When we arrived we were greated warmly and also were able to say goodbye when we left. We were met with a home baked chocolate cake and some Madeira wine made from the grapes on the property. The house does not face the street but is down a short path. Use the geo coordinates and watch for the sign on the group mailboxes. Parking is on the street, but we had no problem finding a place. For driving around the island in all directions it was just as easy to drive all directions from the house as if you had started from Funchal. We appreciated being able to be active all day and to come back to quiet in the evening. I definitely would recommend that people consider this property. We have stayed in 7 rentals so far on this trip and this is definitely the best.
Thank you so much for your kind review,im glad you have enjoyed your stay at Cottage Quinze.
We hope to see you back.

We are a family of 4. We booked this villa not really knowing what to expect but wow, the villa is better then the pictures very spacious, it has everything you need for comfort, it’s only a short walk to the pool complex, a short walk to a small shop where you can get your fresh bread and essentials, there is a massive supermarket just 20 mins drive. Ponta delgada is a beautiful place with beautiful views and lovely people. Having Angela nearby is very helpful too specially when she bakes 😉
Ponta Delgada, is a world away from the hustle and bustle of Funchal, this small sea side village, nowadays famous for its ocean water swimming pool with its beach situated with in a protected bay.
located in the district of São Vicente with beautiful scenery of the mountains and sea, the local church by the sea and its new pool complex. Here you may also find a house museum belonging to the famous teacher, writer and journalist Horácio Bento de Gouveia with a display of his published works and antiques.
This rural village is also able to produce many of the freshest agricultural products and also traditional handicrafts, embroidery and wickerwork.
Ponta Delgada is proud of its mother church; the Imaculado Coração de Maria built in the 15th century, famous for its big Religious festival of Senhor Bom Jesus which takes place in the first weekend of September, bringing thousands of visitors and pilgrims from all parts of the island.
There is hand full of restaurants / snake bars in the village, post office, mini market, and petrol station or pop over to Sao Vicente where there is a large variety of amendments available. The village offers the possibility to take walks through footpaths and levadas, where you can enjoy the Laurissilva, classified as a world heritage site by UNESCO.
The Ideal base camp to explore the island of Madeira with good roads links to visit all the places of interest easily.
