|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
We stayed here for the month of July 2016. It was truly a great location to experience Paris. There is a metro station 3 minutes away, several velib (bike sharing) stations within 2 or 3 blocks, and a bus stop for the #69, a couple minutes away.
However, in less than 45 minutes, a body can walk to many of Paris' most popular sights. If a person is comfortable riding the city's bike sharing bikes, a half hour will take you to almost every arrondissement.
Down the block, on Rue St Dominique there are a couple grocery stores, and a few boulangeries. The boulangeries are all very good, but the best in our opinion was Nelly Julienne. Less than a 5 minute walk, we found the quality and prices of this boulangerie second to none.
Rue Cler is less than a 10 minute walk and also a great place to find anything a person might want for food or drink.
The owner of the suite was very fair and very easy to deal with. Just before we arrived, our plans changed and we cancelled our last 2 nights stay, fully expecting to pay, but Gabrielle graciously subtracted the 2 nights from the fee.
The apartment itself is comfortable, but certainly not luxurious. For the price though, it was well worth it. We have every intention of staying there again sometime in the future.
I stayed here in June of 2014 with my dad, his girlfriend and my niece and we had a fabulous time. The apartment is close to restaurants, shopping, a metro station, and tourist attractions such as the Rodin Museum, the Eiffel tower, Napoleon's tomb etc. The previous reviewer described the apartment as "shabby" and I do not agree at all, it was very charming and really made me feel as though we were living there for the week. The beds were comfortable, the appliances that we used and wifi worked great! I would definitely stay here again if I am so lucky to come back to Paris.
The property is exactly as advertised but if you don't read between the lines, you'll be disappointed. Such as...linens provided include mattress covers and duvets. What that means is there are NO TOP SHEETS on the beds. The towels are old and in some cases permanently stained. The furniture may look like antiques in the pictures but it's just old along with everything else in the apartment. TV barely worked and parts of the coffee pot were broken although it still worked. Shabby is the best word to describe it. The property is not well maintained although clean. Location was wonderful and it was cheaper than other properties in that area but you get what you pay for.
My sister, niece and I stayed here for a week--it was a perfect location with a metro stop a block away and so much within walking distance including the Eiffel Tower and all of the sights along the Seine. It was a great size and had all we needed for a comfortable stay. Rue Saint Dominique (half block away) has everything you need including a fabulous boulangerie. Nora (who manages the apartment) was welcoming and willing to meet us early in the morning to drop off our bags--it was a great introduction to Paris. The elevator was a blessing after a long day of walking, the apartment was comfortable and safe and we had zero issues during our stay. I would unreservedly recommend this apartment to anyone planning a visit--I would love to come back!

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in this lovely, beautifully decorated, little apartment. It was perfect for us. (By the way, we are over 65) It has 2 bedrooms, a nicely equipped eat-in kitchen with round table and a beautiful bathroom with shower and clothes washer. We slid the 2 twin beds, in the one bedroom, against the walls and made a little sitting room. We had the windows open and a wonderful breeze goes through. You can slide the plastic window shutters closed for a completely dark room for sleeping. It was perfect. It is an extremely quiet location in a very neat and clean building. The elevator worked with no problems to the 5th floor. You will really enjoy your stay here. It's also very safe.
Gabrielle, the owner, is a pleasure to deal with and Nora who manages the apt for him is delightful and very helpful. You are so close to everything here, metro, bus, restaurants, bakeries, Rue Cler, more and more. I will be happy to respond to anyone who wants any more information.
Oh, be careful with the oven. We didn't have anything on in the apartment and turned it on when we got home and it blew out all the electricity. Luckily we had a flashlight and reset the curcuit breaker box and everything was fine. We skipped warming our dinner in the oven. We used the stove and never tried it again. So, bring a flashlight and ask Nora how to reset the box.
We couldn't be happier with this whole rental experience. Thank you VRBO, Gabrielle and Nora.
