Beautiful friendly village with good pub and local events. If you like fishing; fantastic carp tench bream roach & crucians that average 2lb in village pond but respect the local residents some treat the fish like their pets and I understand why. Pleasant drive to Kings Lynn and the wonderful north Norfolk coast.. Helpful, friendly owners even bough us home made jam and scones mmm. Spent a wonderful afternoon going round the open gardens in the village. Will go back

Great stay at the Old Schoolhouse!

  • 4 of 5

Welcomed by owners Ian and Debbie on arrival who showed us into the house. A lovely surprise of home made scones with jam and cream laid out for us in the spacious kitchen. They were extremely helpful and kind.

The house is large with a great kitchen and sitting room . There are four good sized bedrooms upstairs with an ensuite and family bathroom. There is also a downstairs toilet. There is a bench, small table and chairs outside the front in the little garden for sitting and gazing at the stars on a mild evening.

The washing machine drying rack and use of the dryer in the owner's garage was very helpful for us after 10 days traveling before arriving at this lovely spot.

It is situated in a small friendly village with church, pub and duck pond which had large carp who come up for the bread you feed the ducks. One day we even saw a dray horse being exercised walking through the village. The pub was clean and the owners friendly and helpful. We had a couple of meals there that were reasonably priced and cooked well.

Thanks for a great stay.
