Second time here
This was our second time staying at Point Breeze North. The apartment is very clean and comfortable, and is perfect for a short stay. The entire apartment building is very quiet, and we really didn't see or hear anyone during our entire weekend stay. Parking on the side street was not problem. We will, without hesitation, stay here again on our next trip to the 'Burgh!
Great Weekend Place
We came into town for the weekend. Beautiful little apartment! The owner responds super quickly if you have any questions. I was a little worried about parking on the street but she took care of making sure my car was registered so I had 0 issues. Great place!!!
Insider Information Long but Worth the Read
Disoriented in the dark, I couldn't find the front door. I called HomeAway Customer Service and was helped after 10 minutes on hold. This is the best use of 700 square feet I’ve ever seen. The place is comfortable. Great location. There are 10 steps to the door. As you walk in the front door, watch out for the bed. Should you arrive after dark in the pitch black, there is a a lamp on the desk at the front door, however unplugged. Slowly feel along the left wall to a door. The light switch is on the right wall. I dropped the burnt out bulb. There was a broom but no dustpan. The electric vacuum did absolutely nothing. The heat and air conditioner work well. The registers for the heat and air conditioner are directly above and below the thermostat. The carpets are clean. The sofa is comfortable. The bedroom is a good size. Allow enough time to move all of the pillows. The decorative butcher paper taped onto the window above the entry door in the bedroom is quite the unique, art deco touch. Two flat screen TVs would have been quite the luxury if the one in the bedroom worked. Marla was kind to refund $30. When the LR TV went out Sat. PM, No additional compensation. Firmly stated I wasn’t entitled to additional compensation. The space-saving bathroom allows you to brush your teeth while seated. The water pressure is adequate at best. Try to ignore the rust around the drain. A partial box of tissue and hand soap is in the bathroom. No extra toilet tissue was found. The kitchen has everything. Use the only roll of paper towels sparingly, as these are also your napkins. There is a half-filled ice cube tray. Noise above. People running late into the pm. Penn Ave very noisy at pm. Negative comments might be met with dismissal. When I uncovered dead ladybugs, I was ACCUSSED of bringing them in. This is the harshest, cruelest insult anyone can give or receive. To even THINK or CONSIDER I might do this is completely unacceptable. This rental property might be great in comfort and location, but it all comes at a cost. I would not stay there again only because of the way I was treated. It’s sad and such a shame when you encounter such harsh people in a world where we all should be getting along.
Lauren, Thanks for mentioning the comfortable space and great location! I’m sorry you didn’t read my very detailed instructions about your stay with directions to the entryway, supplies provided, etc. I’m sorry you didn’t see the backup supplies of TP, paper towels, light bulbs, batteries, etc. in the closet.
And I’m saddened that you felt the need to try and blackmail me into giving you additional compensation. You stated that if I gave you an additional $30, then you would not mention anything negative in your written review. The refund given was prompt, gracious and more than adequate. Unfortunately, this is my first time having a guest send me over 25 messages during and after a 2-day stay, trying to come up with ways to get additional $$ off their stay.
Monday night football trip
Awesome experience! Amazing response to us locking ourselves out! Would definately stay there again!
Thanks, Neal! You two were great guests and we were happy to help.
Great stay!
Very nice property, with the exception of a very bright patio light (which Marla will address), it was great, location and ease of getting around- loved it!!
Thanks, Carrie! The light has been addressed and we look forward to your return visit in 2 weeks.
Charming and convenient apartment
Hassle free from start to finish, with everything precisely as advertised.
