The apartment of 90 sqm consists of six rooms: bedroom, bedroom with sofa bed for two people, large living room, dining room with kitchen, study with additional bed and a bathroom with a bathtub with shower. It has been completely renovated and newly furnished and is equipped with wireless Internet connection. The apartment is on the fourth floor. The whole area was recently renovated and has limited traffic (ZTL). Paid parking is available nearby, but the car is not needed because you can easily reach on foot the aquarium, the Old Port (from where boats depart for the Cinque Terre, Portofino and Camogli), the Palazzo Ducale, the main museums, the Cathedral St. Lawrence and other historical and artistic monuments, as well as the commercial and financial center of the city (Piazza De Ferrari, Via XX Settembre, the exhibition grounds).

The apartment is large with a nice bath. We have felt home, as the apartment was very clean and very well maintained. Very nearby are supermarkets and restaurants. So, for our next visit in Genova, we are going to count on you once more Guido.
The apartment is large and airy and well appointed. It is in a safe neighbourhood with many close amenities such as supermarket, small seafood, fruit and vegetable, meat and cheese stalls very close. Short walk to the aquarium and bottom of town. We loved our stay here. Owner very accomodating and a lovely man. Thanks Guido!
We stayed 6 weeks (!) in this comfortable apartment. The apartment is situated at the historic center, yet very close to the new modern city. Walking distance to the main attractions. Better without a car, though there is a public parking nearby. For us, we couldn't think of a better place to stay. The listing description was very accurate. In fact, the apartment is exactly what you see in the pictures. It is properly clean, well maintained and equipped. No air-condition, though, but airy.
Nearby there are small restaurants and a small market, as well.
Guido, the owner, was very helpful and gave an immediate answer to problems that arouse as well as our needs.
We definitely recommend it to anyone who stays in Genova.
We had pleasure of staying at the «Porta Soprana» for several weeks in the summer of 2015. The apartment is spacious and uncluttered, with very high ceilings and many large windows—I believe there are eight of them—that make for a very comforable stay. All the windows can be opened completely, allowing for nice cross-breezes during the evenings. The location is in nice area of Genoa with a great view of the ancient walls and into the new city. The subway is closeby but everything is so close that we didn't feel the need to use it: you can literally walk to almost anywhere (Via Garibaldi, San Lorenzo, the Port, Via XX Settembre, etc.) in 5 to 15 minutes. There are many wonderful cafés and restaurants within a few hundred metres of the apartment, as well as a grocery store and pharmacy.
We found Guido to be an excellent host: he is friendly and responded promptly to any questions we had. He also offered many suggestions regarding the best places for gelato, coffee, and foccaccia. And he told us about Nervi, which is a short trip by train or bus from the apartment. The apartment was well-stocked with amenities allowing us to relax when we arrived rather than rush out to get things. Guido also provided a binder with all the up-to-date tourist brochures and guides, as well as a street map, which were very useful.

This apartment was perfect for our one week tourist stay in Genoa, in a nice building on the edge of the central historic district with easy access to all the tourist attractions. Although you can walk to most places, we used the Metro which was very conveniently located just a two minute walk from the apartment to get closer to many things and thus save our legs a bit. There was a small supermarket just below the steps adjacent to the apartment which was also really convenient. The apartment is light, airy and attractive. We were able to get a really nice breeze from the open windows and enjoyed watching a breeding pair of gulls on the neighboring rooftop every evening! The 4th floor location (with elevator) is a real plus. However, although the unit potentially has two bedrooms, it is really only equipped to sleep one couple. That was fine for us, as we were only two, but I would not want to use the sleep sofa that is currently in the second bedroom to sleep another person. It is not in good condition (very soiled) and does not open out into a proper bed. The other rooms were all up to a good standard. Guido was a helpful person to deal with especially on arrival. We loved Genoa, and staying at this apartment was a big part of the success of our trip.
Genoa's historical center a few minutes walk from the aquarium, the Old Port, Palazzo Ducale, the museums, the Cathedral of St. Lorenzo, Piazza De Ferrari and other monuments. Area 'high' of the old town, restored recently and quiet on the border with the commercial and financial center of the city (Piazza de Ferrari, Via XX Settembre). Underground ('S. Augustine ') to 100 meters. Bus 200m. Train station (Brignole) to 2 kilometers. Tollbooth (Genoa West) to 4 kilometers.
