Guestbook comments from the manager

Marcella was very welcoming and the communication we had with her was great. The property has a fantastic location, very central and convenient for Oxford St, Tottenham Court road and Covent Garden. The property is presented very well and there was enough room for four adults and four children ranging in age from 13 to 2. We arrived in from Waterloo Train station and a taxi was approximately £11. Very happy with our stay and would happily rent from Marcella in the future.

Amazing location in a nice Victorian house.

  • 5 of 5

The house is exactly like the pictures show and is a very cosy home. We were 9 people (3 kids, 1 teenager and 5 adults) coming from Norway. We were all very happy with our stay. Our host for the week, Klara, was absolutely lovely. When our flight got 4 hours delayed she went to the shop for us and got us everything we needed as an extra service. This was greatly appreciated and made the first night a lot better for us as we could all have a nice meal before bed. The adults slept in the proper beds as the sleeping sofas fit better for lighweighters it looked like, but the kids and teenager slept very comfotably in the sofabeds it looked like. The kitchen is small, but it contains everything you need to cook a proper english breakfast before you go out to explore the city of London. We cooked for 9 people every morning. The location of the flat is fantastick, right by oxford street and the tube. Its closer than you can imagine really. Tesco was only a 30 second walk away from the front door. The Soho streets are lively and exciting with great pubs and restaurants. I recommend this flat to everyone with or without kids. The hosts are fantastic and the house is lovely. We will surely come back. Thank you so much!

Location was great! However, bathroom situation was difficult. Had to walk through a bedroom to get to the bathroom or go up a flight of stairs....difficult in the middle of the night.

We were 5 single people traveling together and it was hard to find a place with beds to accommodate that. This place was perfect in that regard with the separate futons in 2 of the bedrooms and one in the living room. I cannot praise the location enough. I've been to London dozens of times but never stayed so centrally and now I'm spoiled for convenience. Be prepared for noise in the streets - it's Soho so it's not a sleepy suburb. But that was a small drawback to an otherwise perfect location. This is not a luxurious place but the pictures are EXACTLY what it looks like so we got exactly what we expected and would stay there again in a heartbeat. Marcela and Viktor were so easy to work with by email and text and all payments went perfectly. And we saved tons of money by getting breakfast and snack foods at the grocery less than 2 blocks away. Not to mention the transportation costs we saved by being so centrally located. Be prepared to navigate 3 flights of narrow stairs. Many thanks to the owners for making this a spectacular visit to my favorite city.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. The house is a Georgian building and as such is a historical place to stay. This period feature means it exhibits an old-England charm. Its location is indeed in bang central London and you can walk out to bars, restaurants galore, to Oxford St on your doorstep, theatres, Chinatown, Thames, parks...It is also one of the few places in the vicinity that can cater for 3 bedrooms+. As it a period house, it is housed on several floors and we have upgraded the house and a new kitchen was installed recently and we will be upgrading the top bathroom shortly. We also provide FREE courtesy taxis to-and-from the airport, FREE WIFI and a FREE mobile phone to use whilst at our place. These are not standard in the industry. Nor is the 24-7 access for emergencies and a meet-and-greet service that is complementary.

Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

The home was nice, clean and exactly as the pictures show. Marcela was there to greet us, even though we were late and was very pleasant. Lively area, has lots of pubs and restaurants and the market is just down the street, quite convenient. We would definitely come here again! Thank you!

Great location, everything as expected

  • 5 of 5

We booked with Marcela, who handled everything easily and professionally. This location is excellent, especially if you enjoy theater. The TKS ticket booth in Leicester Square is only a block or so away. We saw 4 performances and all theaters were within walking distance of the flat. It is an easy walk to a couple of different tube stops for travel to other areas.

The bedroom is a bit tight (as clearly shown in the photos) but the bed is comfortable and 4 pillow were provided, which was nice. I have asthma and allergies and was able to wake up feeling fine after sleeping here.

The kitchen glassware and flatware are sparse, but enough for two people--you just have to hand wash items instead of waiting to use the dishwasher. The nearby Tesco grocery store they mention is about 3 blocks away and was great for picking up whatever you need.

We didn't use most of the appliances, but the WIFI was easy to log into and worked great. The router is plugged into an outlet in the main room-(make sure you don't turn off the outlet, or no internet). My phone, an AT&T iphone4, didn't work in London for calling, but I was able to use the flat's internet for email and use imessage texting to other iphone users The flat provided a simple cell phone. We never used it for any calls, but I did carry it around with us, just in case we needed to make a call. The couch sinks a bit, but is still comfortable. There was plenty of lighting.

The bathroom was very modern, with no counter space, but it does have a mirrored cabinet to put things in. The sink/faucet design allows water to sometimes splash out-but it worked fine for our needs. Heated towel rack was a nice plus, and kept the bathroom warm as well. I appreciated the hair dryer that was provided.

Several other heaters are provided in the flat. We actually had to turn them down, or off, as we got too warm at the beginning. Windows can be opened, too.

The view from the window was really nice. We enjoyed looking out at Big Ben, Lord Nelsons column in Trafalgar square and seeing the London Eye lit up in blue at night. Access in and out of the flat was easy and elevator worked well.

Overall, it was a great location, provided everything we needed, we felt comfortable and safe, and it was easy arranging it with Marcela. We recommend using this flat.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for taking time to provide us with a review and we are very happy to read that overall you had a pleasant stay and that you found our service to be 5 stars. We look forward to being of service again in the future. The property is prime central London and ideal for a family or a group. It is located off Oxford Street and all the key hotspots in town. Based in Soho it is heart of London's nightlife, with all that London has to offer - restaurants, bars, theatres, cinemas with China Town, Covent Garden and Piccadilly/Regent's Street being within easy reach. We can also provide a taxi service for guests from and to the airport which is more economical than say catching a train. Our greeter will answer general questions - both as regards the property and the area in general.

Nice clean flat in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased with this flat for a couple, a teenager, and an adult friend. It is right in the middle of Soho; very close to Tottenham Court Road tube station and just south of Oxford Street. There is a Thai restaurant next door that does a terrific takeaway, and a nice bakery at the other end of St Anne's Court. There is a Tesco Metro just up Dean St, and of course, all the shopping of Oxford St including a rather big M&S which is close by. It was very easy to walk to many of the places we wanted to see. We also tried Inamo on Wardour--great food with an innovative ordering system.

There are 2 full bathrooms: one is ensuite on the second (third for US) floor with a tub/shower arrangement, and the other is on the third (fourth for US) floor with shower only and includes the washer/dryer. We had no issues with hot water with 4 of us showering. The kitchen is tiny, but there is room for one person to cook on the cooktop or the oven. We had breakfast and simple meals while we were there. There was a problem with a leak during our stay and Lidiana was very quick to get it resolved and communication was not a problem. There is wifi which worked well up until the last 2 days of our stay, but I think it was a provider issue and not the unit in the flat.

Highly recommended.
