Chalet Fleur des Alpes is a very spacious 5 bedroom chalet comfortably sleeping up to 12 people. Designed and decorated as a family home, it is cosy and comfortable with a lovely lived in feel. It is located in a stunning position above the pretty village of St Jean d’Aulps with unrivalled views over the village and mountains beyond.
The holiday rental is just a couple of minutes drive to La Grande Terche ski area or about 10 minutes to Ardent to access the rest of the Portes du Soleil. It’s a lovely quiet location, away from the hustle and bustle of the resorts, yet just a 10 minute drive into Morzine.
On the ground floor of the chalet, there is a large living room with floor to ceiling windows opening out onto the deck, and offering magnificent views even if you want to stay cosy and warm inside. After a tough day on the slopes you’ll find plenty of comfortable sofas to sink into and rest weary limbs. To keep everyone entertained there is a TV with Sky TV, DVD player and a library of DVDs, plus WiFi. For old school entertainment there are plenty of games for kids.
The separate dining room has a large table that can seat 12 people. The adjacent kitchen, with stylish red gloss cupboards, is fully equipped with everything you’d expect.
The sleeping accommodation is split into two wings, which gives extra privacy for families sharing. All rooms have ample storage.
The left hand wing is reached via stairs from the dining room. It consists of two twin bedrooms and a bathroom, plus a separate toilet is located downstairs.
The right hand wing is reached via stairs from the lounge, and again consists of two twin bedrooms and a bathroom with separate toilet.
The fifth bedroom/children’s playroom is located in the basement, and has 2 sets of bunkbeds sleeping up to 4 people. This room also has a TV and DVD player and is an ideal room for kids to use as a playroom, and keep clutter away from the upstairs living space! There is no window in this room as it is in the basement.
There is a further shower room & toilet on the ground floor adjacent to the entrance.
Outside the chalet, there is a wooden deck that wraps round two sides of the chalet with a larger terrace area, perfect for long summer meals outside, or a great spot to enjoy a glass of wine while you watch the sun set over the mountains. The real bonus for summer stays though is the large private swimming pool. A rare gem in a mountain chalet – imagine starting your day with a refreshing swim as you gaze up at the mountains.
There is parking for two cars directly in front of the chalet and an additional space in the communal parking bay. There is direct access from the parking area to the ski room in the basement, where there is plenty of space to store skis and boards, and an area to dry wet kit.
