I stayed with my two grown up sons as we wanted to spend some time together, away from daily stresses. It was perfect for us as I like to cook and the apartment was well equipped, it lacked an oven which would have been nice but I managed without it. It was good to have the dishwasher and washing machine and if I had to choose I'd opt for the dishwasher rather than the oven. The apartment is a short walk from a spectacularly beautiful beach and within a nature conservation area, so the bird life was great. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, two of the beach restaurants were particularly good with stunning views in the evening and with very
good food when you don't want to cook. The town of Boudoni seems unassuming at first but is interesting when you explore and the people were really pleasant and friendly. There is a great butcher shop in the town near the Church. We weren't looking for night life which was just as well as it is a very quiet place and once you have eaten in the evening there is nothing else to do in early June anyway, that may change in July and August when we were told it is very busy. The nearest shop is quite a walk away if you run out of milk but after a few days you feel that it is worth the little extra bother to be in such an unspoilt place. We arrived by bus from the airport and realised when we got there that we hadn't given an arrival time, we rang the owner and within 5 minutes his sister arrived with keys and a warm welcome. The water went off one evening and we phoned the owner and it was fixed by the time we woke up next morning, so service is very good. We hired a car in the town, a pleasant experience and not expensive but then found we didn't really use it as walking was so pleasant. I would like to have stayed longer.
We spent 2 weeks here in the summer of 2014, and had a wonderful time. It looked exactly like the pictures, the appartment was tasteful, well equipped and perfectly clean. Everything was included in the pre-paid price, even electricity, beach towels and exit cleaning. No hidden extras! The owners are a charming, young couple, Pasquale and Claudia, who really made us feel welcome. They both speak English really well, and they had a lot of great tips regarding restaurants, places to go and sights to see. They would even book tables for us. Some nights however, we would prepare our own meals at the barbecue in our garden, and eat in the patio. Lovely!
We really loved the pool. It is perfect for children who already know how to swim, or for swimming practice. Our two boys aged 11 and 7 where practically living in it. And since it was cleaned every single day, it was always fresh. If you prefer the beach, it is just a short walk away. The capannizza beach is probably one of the best beaches in the area.
Budoni may not be the most picturesque of towns in Sardinia, but every night the Main Street is closed for traffic and lots of market stalls and street musicians take over. Quite charming! The town is approx 1km from the appartment complex, so you can easily walk there.
During our stay we went to Alghiero, costa Smeralda and Golfo Arancia, which were all worth the trip. I would also highly recommend trying the agriturismo Boltei. Another tip from Pasquale:-)
We would not hesitate to recommend the place to our friends and families, and hopefully we will come back some day:-)
Äußerst sauberes und gut ausgestattetes Appartement (Toaster, Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine, Töpfe, Pfanne, Schüsseln, Gläser, etc.) ! Wir haben über FEWODirekt von 20.08. - 03.09.2016 gebucht.
Essen, Freizeitmöglichkeiten und sonstigem was man so braucht :-).
Capannizza liegt geografisch also ziemlich gut.
Budoni is a seaside town on the north-eastern part of the island, situated between the town of San Teodoro to the north and Posada to the south. It's located on Sardinia's main road n.125 (Via Nazionale street) that follows the eastern coastline from Olbia to Cagliari. It includes 18 km of coastline that rise from the Tyrrenian Sea, offering Budoni's marvellous landscapes, sandy beaches and sorrounding rocky walls. The nearest beach is only 300 meters from the town. However, Budoni isn't only about the sea; the village is situated on a flat area, but the rest of the territory is prevalently hills and only slightly inhabited. There are plenty of folkloristic events linked to the life and the traditions of these small settlements surrounding Budoni.
Golf: The closest Golf course is located in Puntaldia which is 15 km from Budoni.
