The complex is located directly on a beautiful sandy beach with only a walking and biking path in between to encourage the morning exercise routine. History buffs will be intrigued by the castle constructed in 1764 located a short distance from the complex. The pool and jacuzzi are only steps away, sure to be refreshing under the warm sun that shines 300 days a year. Unobstructed views as you are enjoying your morning coffee from the Spanish tiled patio will encourage all who venture to visit this outstanding location to return on a regular basis. The villa has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms with a double on the main floor. The roof-top solarium provides not only a breathtaking view of the ocean but also a cooling shower after an invigorating afternoon of reading and relaxing. There is also a stone BBQ for that mid day or evening meal.

Mediterranean Beauty - Villa, Sea and Attractions

“Mediterranean Beauty - Great Location and view”

We rented this lovely townhouse from January - April. 2017. The weather in this area is great. The lowest day temperature has been 10C with most days in the high teens - mid 20sC. The townhouse is as advertised. no surprises. It is well outfitted in the kitchen, the bed is comfortable, the TV has many channels as well as movies. We are golfers and there are 4 courses within a half hour drive. We have taken advantage of golf packages at Desert Springs and Aguilon. There are lots of day trip destinations - Aguilas, San Juan of course, Mojacar, Villaricos etc. Granada and the Alhambra are a few hours away but worth an overnight stay. Peggy, the owner of the villa and Ava, the property manager are both very approachable and helpful. The roof top view of the sea and the Torreros castle is stunning. Outside the front door are walking paths, exercise stations and 3 restaurants, plus a smalll grocery store is on site as well. Parking is underground and secure. A beautiful location.

Stunning Villa in a superb location

We are a family of 5, myself, wife and our 3 boys aged 4, 8 and 13. This was our first time away from package holidays so we weren't too sure what to expect planning our own holiday.

I have to say that we had our concerns after reading the horror stories people have had booking villas and being ripped off, so we approached the whole process with extreme caution.

That said the booking experience through Home Away and the payment protection set our minds at ease, this coupled with Peggy's prompt replies and information provided to our numerous emails really took away any doubts and concerns.

The villa itself is absolutely stunning and the views over the seafront were breathtaking everyday. We were all very comfortable in the villa with the boys having enough entertainment through the various games and TV available to keep them occupied when needed. You can find everything in the villa to make it a home from home, the kitchen well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils, the bathrooms stocked up with toilet rolls and towels. The beds were comfortable for all of us, even though my wife and I suffer with bad backs, we found ourselves comfortable with no aches or pains from our bed.

The communal pool was brilliant and on most days we had it pretty much to ourselves, the kids really enjoyed it! We were pleasantly surprised at the amount of equipment in the storage room in the garage, it meant the kids had plenty of extra fun on our the beach trips. And on that topic, boy you really are spoiled for choice when it comes to the beaches. Plenty of stunning soft sand beaches with clear water within a short drive from the villa. The beach front on the complex was fine if you didn't want to drive anywhere but is a bit pebbly with some rocks in the waterline so beach shoes essential here.

The restaurants on the complex were fine although a bit pricey, you're much better off venturing away for dining out. Meson Papa in San Juan is a must visit, great food although can get busy in the daytime very quickly. Pimento in Aguilas has some great tapas at ridiculously cheap prices.

We took the kids to the water park in Vera which is reasonably priced and although not a huge park was still a great day out for everyone.

We really enjoyed our 1st venture away from package holidays, the villa was perfect for us with the only real gripe being the chimenea BBQ not set up for charcoal but had a broken electric BBQ instead, easily solved with a disposable BBQ from Aldi!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the great review! The second I found out about the BBQ I ordered a brand new weber. The element on the old electric weber failed. I find the electric BBQ...much cleaner. That is the Dutch in me and wanting to make sure the BBQ area didn't get stained from charcoal. It is perfect now for a return visit! Also, I keep a spare BBQ on the landing at the top of the stairs. I am a bit disappointed it wasn't brought to your attention since that would have solved the only issue! I always keep spares of everything and owning 14 condos in the world I am blessed to have a garage and storage for emergency supplies! Look forward to hearing from you again. Peggy

High quality apartment in good location

Family of four had a very enjoyable stay here. The apartment is well equipped with attractive beaches and restaurants nearby. The development is tasteful with sports amenities and nice swimming pools.

Wonderful

As a family of five with three children aged between 8 and 19 we had a wonderful time with lots to keep everyone happy. The apartment is exactly as it appears in the pictures however the overall complex is even better than we thought. Nice restaurants, bike hire, amazing pools etc were all great and the beachfront walks are a joy. There are lots of lovely places to visit in the area by car. We sampled a few and really enjoyed them but it was always a wrench to leave and a joy to come back to the Mar de Pulpi development which probably says it all! Cant recommend highly enough.

Spain Splendor

After two busy days in Barcelona, it was great to settle in and relax for a week in our home away from home. Such a beautiful condominium!! Beach front unit, 3 b.r., 3 bathrooms Roof top terrace with BBQ we loved!! Really appreciated the grass in the main patio area.....looked to be only unit with that!!! Lots to see near by, beach restaurant right in front of the complex was awesome and very reasonable $$.

Lovely villa overlooking the sea in a quiet and relaxing area of Spain

The three bedroom villa was absolutely lovely with everything taken care of for a great holiday. The description of the property is accurate and you do not need to take anything extra to enjoy your stay.

There are two pools which are accessible with one opening on the 1st June which was at the end of our holiday, but this did not make too much difference to us as it was a quiet time and the pool was never too busy.

The restaurants in the immediate area were excellent but you do need to know a little Spanish as the waiters we found were not English speaking. This is just a comment to advise other visitors as the service and food were great.

I would also recommend that a car would be an advantage if you wanted to see more than the immediate area as I did not see any buses.

You can walk into San Juan de los terros from the villa but the paved footpath does not continue all the way and you have to deviate onto the road but it was ok.

Overall a wonderful villa overlooking the sea, in a quite mostly Spanish area for a relaxing holiday.

San Juan de los Terreros is located near the border of Murcia and Andalucia. The beach is famous in this area since it shelves gently making it safer for families then most beaches on the cost. This vacation rental villa is situated less than one hour from the airport in Almeria. San Juan de los Terreros is located only 8 km from the busy fishing port of Aguilas and just 12 km from Pulpi, the capital of the municipality to which it belongs.

History buffs will be intrigued by the castle constructed in 1764 located a short distance from the complex. The walk up to the castle is worth the effort since it provides splendid views up the coast as far as Cape Cope and down the coast to the Castle of Roldan in Carboneras. Just out to sea lies the two islands of Negra and de Terreros, parkland.

The sharp jagged peaks of the mountains behind frame the skyline and if you are tempted to climb them you will be rewarded with lovely views of Huecal Overa and miles of lovely coastline.
