Aniforos villa is set on the hillside in the old part of the quaint and traditional Peyia Village. Surrounded by hillsides and overlooking the coast of Coral bay/St Georges, the villa offers very easy access to lovely places! From monasteries to coastal walks; the Pikni forest to the bay at St Georges. Akamas Peninsular and the area of natural beauty - all within a few mins drive. The harbor at Latchi, with its many colourful restaurants and bars, is only 20 mins drive away, over the pretty hillsides through the villages. Boat hire and water sports available .
The village of Peyia, where this beautiful property is located, is a very interesting mix of traditional Cypriot properties and way of life, complimented by a thriving community of people from all over the world. Shopping in the supermarket, just 5 minutes walk from the village, sees you rubbing shoulders with the locals, whose heritage and shopping habits make for very interesting ''people watching''!
Old style tavernas, like Geitonia and Peyia Tavern, are close to the more modern, glossy wine bar type establishments. From dancing to haunting Cypriot music to watching sport on the big screen, there is much to do.
Walking in the area:
for the more active amongst us, walking groups share the natural pleasures of foraging in the hillsides for herbs to strolling along the magnificent coastline, towards the Akamas Peninsular - or if you prefer, hop on a horse and ride along the cliff tops!
Only 15 minutes away by road, with local buses and taxis to take you if you prefer to leave the car, you'll find the great joys of the newly and completely regenerated, centre of Paphos. The area is now alive with street cafes; local style creative traders and the old market. Local tavernas have reopened inside beautifully restored buildings - with the central area near the impressive Town Hall , hosting concerts from time to time. (check out Facebook for Paphos Old Town).
In brief, from resting in the sunshine, to enjoying local food and life, to hiring a boat and heading out to swim in the warm sea in a quiet lagoon, or taking a picnic to the local forest, there is much to do - and Aniforos is a stunning property to use as the holiday bolthole!
See you soon!
