Great house, great location!
My wife kids and I lived our time in Shanklin. Loads to do on our doorstep or just relax in the beautiful home with games on site to entertain kids. We will be back again! Thanks Jill
Thank you Steve & family. I am delighted you had such a lovely time on the Isle of Wight, and look forward to seeing you again.
Lovely Little Cottage in Shanklin
We are very pleased to stay at Coach house cottage for a weekend on Isle of Wight. It is very close to Shanklin town centre and a stones throw away from the beach and local shops.
The cottage itself is big and specious. We were 4 adults and 2 kids enjoyed our weekend stay in this cosy home away from home. It is equipped with all the kitchen appliances all you have to do is unpack and relax. It has a good collection of DVDs, books, board games ideal for rainy days if you had to stay put.
Jill the land lady is very kind and friendly and is very approachable if you need any help. We had a lovely stay, will definitely recommend this to others. We would love to come back again.. Thank you very much

Thank you Mandar, I am pleased you and your family enjoyed your time in the cottage and on the Isle of Wight. Hope to see you again. Jill
Perfect, home from home!
Jill was very friendly and inviting. The house was very clean and cosy with plenty of room for us all and we had a choice of sitting in the conservatory or lounge. The beds were very comfortable. The house location was perfect for a short walk into Shanklin with plenty of choice for places to eat. We had a thoroughly lovely weekend. Thanks
I'm pleased Claire and her friends had a good weekend, found the cottage comfortable and convenient, and discovered lots to do on the Island.
The Coach House is a stone's throw from Shanklin Old Village packed with charming thatched cottages with its wonderful unique gift shops and tea rooms/gardens and the top entrance to Shanklin Chine - a wonderful gorge with rare plants and waterfalls. There is also a good choice of Pubs and Restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. The High Street and shops is a short stroll beyond the Old Village.
Shanklin really is the most charming of traditional seaside resorts with it’s glorious long wide sandy beach set against a backdrop of dramatic sandstone cliffs, and only 10 minutes from The Coach House. Relax and unwind on the golden sands, hire a traditional beach hut or, for the more energetic, try the water sports on offer. Shanklin's Esplanade, lined with traditional seaside games, amusements, cafes, restaurants and pubs, is the perfect place to while away your day.
Shanklin offers a lovely mix of the seaside and open, green space with some fantastic parks and gardens around the town. Directly opposite The Coach House is Big Mead - a large expanse of open parkland. Within the park there is a recreation area for children and a thriving duck pond. Very nearby is access to many miles of lovely footpaths and cyclepaths over the delightful countryside and Downland that surround Shanklin.
Just around the corner, Rylstone Gardens provide the most tranquil and beautiful spot to sit and soak up the sunshine, with an extensive programme of events at the Bandstand located in the Gardens.
