Wonderful cottage and stunning Cotswold views. Perfect for walks, golf, cycling
I have lived in The Cotswolds since 1994 and worked mainly in Telecoms. I play golf, enjoy walking, gardening and am a keen rugby fan, holding a season ticket at Bath Rugby Club. I love the coast as well as the countryside and spend a lot of time in North Devon enjoying the magnificent surf and golf at Saunton.
Amanda purchased this House in 1994
Why Amanda chose Idbury
Extensive rural views from three aspects and not overlooked. I have extended it twice into a spacious home with plenty of room for everyone to 'do their own thing' The location and views were the primary reasons for buying the property. It is so peaceful yet a stones throw from all the glorious Cotswold villages and towns plus very close to the culture of Oxford and the spa city of Cheltenham.
What makes this House unique
Huntsbury is a real home from home where everyone can feel comfortable with stunning Cotswold views. It is quiet yet easily accessible. Huntsbury accommodates up to 8 people (sorry, no pets & non-smoking!) and is a great place to unwind and relax. Amazing countryside walks from your door step with award winning pubs and restaurants nearby. A fabulous place to enjoy all year round. I maintain Huntsbury to a high level of decor and are delighted that guests respect and enjoy it as as a home from home. It is not a party venue and the maximum occupancy is for 8 people. It is unsuitable for under 14's.

Our stay at Huntsbury cottage
The property felt like a home away from home. Amanda ha a lovely house and took good care of us.
Fab for Four
We are a four friends who get together a couple of times a year to play golf, walk and cycle. We chose Huntsbury Cottage as the house itself is spacious and each of the bedrooms well appointed for each of us to have our own space.
The location is perfect for our leisure interests with special rates at the local Wychwood Golf Club a bonus.
Our host, Amanda, was totally amazing in helping to sort things out for us eg. Tee Times, where to eat, taxis etc. Her friend Steve is also brilliant and on hand in case we needed help.
Lovely and well cared for home with a warm welcoming feeling. A real ‘home from home’ to enjoy both holiday rest and activities.
My family and I wanted to go to the Cotswolds to celebrate a 70th birthday. We wanted to stay somewhere quite central where we could all be together with plenty of space.
Huntsbury Cottage ticked all the boxes and we were not disappointed. Amanda’s home is simply lovely. So very homely, warm and welcoming which also describes Ananda herself. She also has a lovely friend Steve who ensures all is as is should be.
If you want an idyllic Cotswold stay in a really comfortable home, then this is the place for you. We loved it 😃
A brilliant property
We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully presented property. It had everything you needed and more for a very comfortable holiday with the whole family.
We had a great weekend at Huntsbury cottage. Everything you need is there and in the local area. Beautiful surroundings and with the weather being so nice we took advantage of the beautiful garden. Thankyou Amanda you have a lovely home.
Fun in Foscott
We had a fabulous time at Amanda's cottage. We were greeted by a delicious hamper and an Easter egg hunt for the children. The house is super clean and the kitchen/lounge is a great open space for eating/socializing. Our location worked really well with my husband and I able to go for morning runs, my son could hop on the train at Kingham (1 mile away) to see friends in Bath and there was no keeping us away from the delights of Burford Garden Centre and Daylesford Farmshop! Amanda couldn't do enough for us and all related communication was excellent. Thank you!!
