About Jacqui Bellefontaine
The daughter of a Master baker, I grew up on the Kent coast. I am now a London based cookery writer who loves escaping to the Suffolk countryside. I enjoy gardening and taking long walks on the local beaches.
Jacqui Bellefontaine purchased this Cottage in 2009
Why Jacqui Bellefontaine chose Bramfield
We have been holidaying at Hill Cottages Suffolk for over 20 years, we love the slower pace of life, the relaxed atmosphere and the great local produce. When the adjoining cottages to our original cottage came on the market in recent years we decided to buy them so we could share this wonderful holiday location with others.
What makes this Cottage unique
The cottages are situtated in a village just outside the Blyth valley an area of outstanding natural beauty. There offer an ideal location for exploring the Suffolk coastal area so you can explore and find your favourite bit of the Suffolk.

Lovely garden quirky cottage
Well situated to get out and explore the area, lovely garden, the only real thing we did not like about the cottage was the stairs, they were fine going up but we ended up backing down them as they are quite steep.
A stay in a quaint, period themed country cottage.
The cottage had everything we required for our visit.
The location was great and central for visiting the Coast.
We loved the views and the sitting in both the front and rear gardens. The bird watching was wonderful, including a woodpecker and a couple of pheasants!!
The head height was a little low in the toilet and stairway from the bedroom, hence, we wouldn't recommend it for tall folk!
We enjoyed our stay.
Cosy cottage, everything you need
Lovely, cosy cottage, everything you need. Nice little touches like cake and tea waiting for you on arrival. Also things like toiletries, etc - very thoughtful. Beautiful front garden and lovely aspect at the back. Great pub 10 mins walk.
Comfortable, friendly, welcoming cottage and people with much to do on the doorstep.
Lovely cottage with great views
The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed
cosy Character cottage
We loved this characterful cottage it was perfect. It was December and the open fire in the sitting room was gorgeous and effective. The bedrooms were also warm. Kitchen was well equipped. A great winter break - good location for Southwold, Aldeburgh, Framlingham etc. I would enjoy a summer stay here too - the garden must be so pretty and the huge views out the west facing back.
