This single storey detached 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa is light, bright and very comfortable. Membership is included to the newly rebuilt, 2014, luxury, members-only Sunset Crest Beach Club directly on the beach. As well as a private pool at the villa you can also swim in the large Beach Club pool with lockers, showers, changing rooms and loungers directly accessing the beautiful sandy beach and adjoining the Beach House bar and restaurant. Watch the sailing boats drift by as you sip a cool margarita on your lounger.
The villa is set within its own fully enclosed tropical garden, it has a private swimming pool and sun deck. The wrap-around covered patio provides ample space for outdoor BBQs, relaxing or sipping a cold cocktail.
Careful use has been made of locally sourced materials. The villa has beautiful pickled pine ceilings and wardrobes, pale ceramic floors throughout, coral stone light sconce and prints by local artists.
The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. A further bathroom is shared by the two remaining bedrooms. All bedrooms have air conditioning units fitted and ceiling fans. The lounge/dining room has 2 ceiling fans.
The kitchen overlooking the garden and pool includes a dishwasher, top loading American washing machine, electric oven and fridge freezer.
The villa has its own allocated off-street parking.
Ideally situated in the heart of St James on the West Coast, 180 Biflora provides a quiet, relaxing place to stay a few minutes walk from some of Barbados' best restaurants and attractions. Whether you decide to hire a car or not, there is plenty to do around Sunset Crest and Holetown all within walking distance. Travelling around the island is easy by bus, hiring a car or by taxi.
The villa also has access to the Sunset Crest beach club, via a security card. There is a large communal pool with free loungers and access through a security gate to the sandy beach and West coast board walk.
For lunch or dinner chose from local restaurants such as the Beach house, Zaccios, The Tides, Just Grillin, Elbow Room. Late night live entertainment happens at 1st Street. Sandy Lane is 5 minutes away, Daphnes and the Cliff are a 10 minute drive or bus ride; Cin Cin, the Fish Pot and Lone Star are 15 minutes away.
Self catering is easy with the supermarket approximately 10 minutes walk away, offering a good range of groceries including Waitrose produce. The local fish market is a quick trip (Paynes Bay) to buy ultra-fresh swordfish or barracuda for your BBQ. Fresh fruit and vegetables can be bought from the stalls at the end of the road. There are also a few delis in Holetown for more specialist food.
The Chattel Village shops are 5 minutes walk for local souvenirs or breakfast at the cafe. In February each year, the Holetown festival takes place. In August the famous Crop Over festival takes place with parades and celebrations throughout the island.
Hi, I am Katie. Welcome to 180 Biflora Row, Sunset Crest. This villa was purchased in 2012 and has been carefully renovated. Modernising this lovely villa was quite a task, but I hope you will agree this is now a very comfortable holiday home.
The villa was built in the 1960s and we wanted to keep the traditional charm of the villa but add some modern touches, such as the pale ceramic floor tiles and useful dishwasher, All the linen and towels have been upgraded to cool white cotton and crockery and cutlery are all new with a generous supply of wine and cocktail glasses. We hope that you will find this villa a warm and welcoming holiday home.
We have high standards, keeping the villa clean and tidy. We expect our guests to do the same and respect the villa. The villa is beautifully cared for by our lovely housekeeper and guests will find crisp white cotton sheets and towels on arrival plus beach towels for use by the pool or beach. Sun, sun, sun! There are few places in the world you can go during the winter and guarantee it will be sunny and warm. And this is one. If you're looking for an escape from the gloom and rain in the UK or perhaps Canada, look no further. Even when it does rain in Barabados it is always warm.
This is one of the few properties in Sunset Crest that has a private pool. If you'd like to take a dip at 6:00 a.m or midnight, the pool is only a few steps away. No need to share with the neighbours!
We have a very friendly and knowledgeable property manager - Rachel. She will meet you at the villa and show you round. She is happy to advise on anything you may need during your holiday, such as groceries, baby sitting, restaurants.
A membership card for the Sunset Crest beach club is provided and will also get discount at several local stores and cafes.
As we spend several weeks every year in the villa ourselves, we do try to ensure that there is everything you need for a really enjoyable vacation.
Holetown is the centre of the glitzy West coast and staying at Biflora, you are minutes away from all the amenities.This villa is within walking distance of the beach, supermarket, restaurants and bars. If you don't want to hire a car for your stay, you have everything you need a short stroll away. Taxis and buses are easy to get if you are sightseeing or going to the airport.
What a find! We stayed in the same area (Sunset Crest) last year which we found to be quiet and safe and only a few minutes walk from the beech, shops and restaurants. The villa is set in the centre of a fenced garden and has been cleverly upgraded recently including a private, illuminated swimming pool and sun deck which is perfect for those looking to get away from people and not fight over sun loungers.
One of the highlights of our stay was that we seemed to be on the monkey route and several mornings we were being stared at by a troup of at least 15 monkeys walking across the fence. Magic!
The villa is very clean and smart and the kitchen is modern and well equiped and has a verandah perfect for dining and takes in the breeze. If the housekeeper Shirleen offers her daughter's services for an Island Tour take it as we did. We had a great day out which included St Nicholas Abbey (its a plantation house not an Abbey) and now makes its own rum.
Our favorite restaurant was The Cliff which was complete restaurant theatre and a must for a special occasion but Google it and book from home before you go as it is that popular.
We had a wonderful time and would have no hesitation in recommending 180 and we would be happy to go there again (and we have never said that before).
We were thrilled with the property. It was everything we had hoped for and more. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the swimming pool was a bonus. It is a quiet location but only a few minutes walk from the beach, the shops and the Bank. We enjoyed relaxing around the undercover eating area and the pool, and when we returned from our tours around the island it was a lovely place to return to.
On our arrival, February 26th, night had begun and we hastened down to Zacchios for rum punch and enjoyed the sun setting and then moved along to Surfside, drawn by the steel band which was playing and 'danced' on the sand. What a great start.
Holetown beaches are great, but the second week the red flags were flying and the waves were crashing in. A feast for the eyes. Speightstown is quite different to Holetown - a much slower pace. The Caribbean Art Gallery is a must. Fantastic paintings. We ate at the Fishermans Pub (a good experience) and later in the week, we had coffee and lunch at The Fish Pot, Six Mens Bay. The beach is great there, and the swordfish we had for lunch was excellent.
So much more to say, but going back to 180 Biflora each time was like returning home. Warm and welcoming!
The house with its housekeeping and great location made a perfect holiday.
The property was exactly as described and really good value for money. The island had a problem water pressure which affected the villa but a call to the manageress was quickly answered and the problem fixed. The villa is well situated for a really good selection of bars and restaurants (aprox 5/10 minute walk). Information from the owner and the manageress was really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Overall we were very pleased with the property and had a really good holiday
this was my 3rd time staying at this villa since last year that we mentioned to the owner about the pathway they have renewed it completely to make it 100% accesible to disabled wheelchair users, thankyou for this.the villa is very well situated for all your needs on the island, shops bars beach attractions . i have already booked for next year. this is the only holiday in my life where i have returned to the same place. i normaly go somewhere differant each time but this villa and situation makes me want to go back year after year, im sure i will have many more visits here in years to come, the service you are given is top drawer ie agent , maid service, gardeners , pool maintainence. nothing is to much trouble for anyone . see you next year .. Really relaxing stay in Holetown for us once again, and the change to this residence for the first time did not disappoint.
A comfortable, roomy and light villa with full WiFi (which worked great after Rachel and her team quickly resolved a problem).
The pool was bigger than it looked on the pictures but we feel would benefit from a sunshade / umbrella on the sundeck area.
We had a great time, the staff were extremely helpful, thank you.
Just had a great week at Biflora which is in a quiet area only 5 mins from shops & beaches. We were surprised how much larger it was compared to Photos and Katie has done a great job with the refurbishment so far - nice big beds with A/C in all the bedrooms. The pool is a real joy to cool down in the heat of the day & the well tended gardens are very colourful. In all would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Holetown without paying big prices. Only 5 mins to best Restaurant - Tides & best breakfast place - Cafe Karizma !

If you are planning a beach or golf holiday in Barbados, 180 Biflora is ideal; only 5 minutes from the gorgeous West Coast sandy beach of Holetown. The villa is located in a quiet cul-de-sac in the heart of the peaceful residential area of Sunset Crest on the Platinum west coast of Barbados. It’s a quiet location with easy access to some of the best restaurants, bars and beach all within a 5 minute walk.
You have the added benefit of a private pool at the villa and use of the Beach Club pool and facilities at the Holetown beach. You can sun bathe all day long on the villa’s pool deck or sit in the shade of the patio, read and watch the bird-life. You’ll find in Barbados there is never a rush to do anything.
The villa is maintained to a very high standard which we expect our guests to respect. We value our maid highly and she will ensure the villa is spotless for you. All the louvred windows can be opened in the day to allow the east to west breeze to cool the house and give that outdoors/indoors feel to the place.
Sunset Crest is a lovely leafy mature residential neighbourhood scattered with interesting tropical trees, after which the roads are named. A tropical garden surrounds the villa with mature mango, palms, and almond trees for shade. Humming birds are regular visitors to the garden.
It is an easy stroll to Holetown, where you can find a supermarket, lots of different restaurants and cafes, boutiques, deli, Cave Shepherd department store and duty free, banks, post office and Lime Grove cinemas. First street offers live night-time entertainment on Friday.
For sight-seeing further afield there is a taxi rank in Sunset Crest, or the local buses run every few minutes to Bridgetown and elsewhere. Bus stops are within a short stroll. Car hire can be arranged.
