Our luxury apartment very comfortably sleeps a maximum of 4 and consists of an open plan dining/living room and kitchen area, two bedrooms, one bathroom, one shower room/WC and separate WC and plenty of storage space. There are 2 balconies facing North and West and as the apartment is on one of the upper levels both balconies have spectacular uninterrupted views of the Tarantaise valley and Mont Blanc and capture the afternoon sun. The apartment has a 32' LCD TV with BBC and ITV channels, PS2 with games, bluray/DVD/CD player, iPod speaker dock, good selection of games and books, iPod alarm clock, hairdryers in both bathrooms, luxury feather and down duvets, memory foam mattress toppers to all beds, fluffy Egyptian cotton towels, complimentary toiletries, underfloor heating, private ski locker and underground parking space. Wifi is available free in Reception and is also now available from inside the apartment (charge payable in apartment)

Les Chalets de Wengen is an easy 2 minute stroll from the village of Les Coches where you will find a range of restaurants, bars, bakery, deli, supermarket and of course the all important lifts, piste, ski school and ski-hire shops. The Residence comprises 130 apartments built in typical Savoyard mountain style with extensive use of natural wood and stone in three 4 to 6 storey apartment blocks (all with lifts) and 10 chalets. In addition there is the added bonus of a small private indoor swimming pool (free), jacuzzi, sauna and steam room (fee payable). On the ground floor is a Reception lounge with an open fireplace, comfortable seating, complimentary coffee, pool table, free wifi and is also where fresh crusty bread, croissants and pan au chocolate can be ordered for collection each morning. Free trolleys are available from Reception to assist on arrival and departure days.

La Plagne has a wide and varied ski area with many kilometres of easy blue runs combined with the more challenging terrain of the Roche de Mio and surrounding off-piste. La Plagne makes a great destination for family or mixed ability group skiing holidays.

The skiing .....: The forests and glaciers of the linked ski areas of La Plagne and Les Arcs create Paradiski making it one of the largest ski domains in the world. The Vanoise Express links Les Coches to Plan Peisey in Les Arcs giving access to 425km of runs allowing skiers of all levels to enjoy the variety of skiing and boarding available. Just 2 minutes walk from our apartment, an easy short ski to Montchavin, one chairlift up and an easy ski down to the Vanoise Express brings you to the door of Paradiski within 15 minutes. With 2 skiable glaciers as well as some of the highest peaks (Bellecôte in La Plagne at 3416m and Aiguille Rouge in Les Arcs at 3226m) there is guaranteed skiing all season long.

..... and more .....: Les Coches is north-facing and has a number of snow-making machines so almost guaranteeing snow way beyond Easter. You can ski or snowboard back to the village and there are some great runs home to Les Coches. There are a variety of blue and red pistes through the trees to get you home.

..... and finally : at the end of the day, what better way to unwind after a hard days' skiing than to take a dip in the pool, followed by relaxing tired muscles in the jacuzzi, sauna or steam room, then to stroll back to the apartment and catch the afternoon rays of the sun on the balcony with a cool glass of local wine or beer taking in the breathtaking views of the Beaufortain Mountains and fabulous sunsets over Mont Blanc.

  • The apartment has one bathroom, one shower room/WC and also a separate WC. The bathroom has full size bath with shower attachment and riser rail, basin with large cupboard underneath to store toiletries, Phillips hairdryer and handy hooks on the back of the door to hang dressing gowns or towels. The shower room has shower cubicle, WC, basin, large cupboard for toiletries, Phillips hairdryer and hooks on the back of the door. There is a second WC in a separate cloakroom. There are heated towel rails in both bathrooms and extractor fans are in all 3 rooms. Luxury soaps, shower gel and shampoo from the Elsyl range are provided for all guests. These delghtful eco-friendly toiletries are infused with Ginseng used for centuries in the Far East to combat fatigue and weakness, ideal after a long day on the slopes.

The double bedroom has a French door opening onto the west facing balcony where you will find spectacular uninterrupted views of the trees and mountains along the Tarantaise Valley. Bedside lamps are provided in both bedrooms, an iPod alarm clock in the double bedroom and LED alarm clock in the twin bedroom.

The apartment is equipped to a very high standard comprising a fully fitted kitchen area with full size oven, living/dining room furnished with a large comfy chaise sofa ,easy chair & footrest, side tables, sideboard & dining table with 4 comfortable leather chairs. All the wooden furniture is high quality oiled oak. The living room is equipped with a 32' widescreen LCD HDTV, blu-ray/DVD player, iPod/MP3 speaker dock & PS2 with a selection of over 20 games which include Buzz games with buzzers, Eye Toy Play with camera and ski & snowboarding games. There is a good selection of DVD's, CD's, books & games. Three French doors lead out from the living room onto 2 well furnished balconies with tables & chairs, including 2 sun loungers (provided during the summer months), with views of Mont Blanc, Bourg St. Maurice & Beaufortain Mountains. With two balconies facing north and west there are fabulous views in both directions

Martin and Debs are absolute stars! The accommodation is just as its presented in the details and is just superb!

We stayed over Christmas and New Years and from the moment we arrived they really went all out! We had a Christmas tree and decorations, a Christmas card and bottle of champagne, chocolates on all the beds - non of which we asked for or were expecting! Such a lovely surprise!!

The apartment is ideally located and really high class! We have stayed in Le Coches a few times but this rental is by far the best!

All the communications before hand with Debs were perfect and the info pack we received was comprehensive and left nothing out!

The price was fair and worth every penny!

We shall be back!

Appartement idéal avec vue magnifique

Nous avons passé une merveilleuse dans cet appartement si bien équipé et décoré, on se sentait confortables comme à la maison. La vue sur le Mont Blanc est exceptionnelle!!! L'appartement est grand et idéalement agencé. Nous espérons vite y revenir!

Great place for a family ski trip.

Deb and Martin's apartment was a great place to take our first ski trip. The village of Les Coches is pretty and friendly unlike some of the ugly utilitarian resorts in La Plagne. The apartment was spotless, very well equipped and beautifully presented with a kitchen/dining/living room with fabulous views of the mountains. The two bathrooms were modern and clean and the bedrooms had plenty of storage. We cooked most nights but there were plenty of restaurants in the village and the nearby village of Montchavin if we fancied a night out. Despite iffy weather we still managed to ski everyday. The whole booking procedure and arrival was swift and efficient and Deb answered all our queries quickly and clearly. Definitely recommended for a family skiing trip.

Super Urlaub/Perfect stay in La Plagne/Les Arcs

Wir hatten im März einen tollen Skiurlaub in La Plagne/Les Arcs. Das Appartment ist im kleinen Ort Les Coches gelegen, der jedoch perfekt an beide Skigebiete angebunden ist und der Skilift ist ganz in der Nähe. Das Appartment selbst ist sehr gross, sauber, schön eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet und hat wirklich einen Wahnsinnsausblick auf den Mont Blanc. Ich kann diese Wohnung nur jedem weiterempfehlen - Danke Marty und Debs !

We had a great ski holiday in March in La Plagne/Les Arcs. The apartment is situated in the small village of Les Coches, which is perfectly connected to both ski areas and the ski lift is very close. The apartment itself is huge, clean, nicely decorated and has all amenities you need and has really a stunning view of the Mont Blanc. I can totally recommend this apartment to anyone - Thanks to Marty and Debs !

Pleasant one week stay in March 2016

We stayed in the apartment with four adults (2 couples) in March 2016. We came to this resort multiple times before and had trouble to find an apartment that has two bedrooms with two double beds (or single beds that can be pushed together). Standard in this area is a double bed and bunk beds or couches in the living room that serve as beds during the night.

Everything was as advertised. The apartment is quite big, especially compared to other apartments you may find in the Paradiski resorts. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need for a holiday stay. The kitchen has all utensils required to prepare meals for four.

Communication with the owner was fast and smooth, they provided an information package that didn’t leave any questions unanswered.

Wireless is not included (as stated in the description) and has to be booked on site. A one week family pass for the wireless did cost 25 € and allowed five devices to be connected. The speed is fast enough for e-mail, browsing and streaming music. We didn’t try to stream videos.

The double bed has one single big blanket. If you prefer two separate blankets you should bring them yourselves.

Second year at Chalets de Wengen

A very well appointed apartment - far higher standard than previous locations stayed at elsewhere. 100m from the slopes but Ski Set (by the lifts) allow C de W residents who hire skis/boots from them to leave them in the shop overnight - very handy. A week in Jan 2017 already reserved!

The village of Les Coches is ideal for those who enjoy a traditional setting, it is charming, compact and friendly, surrounded by trees and built in the Savoyard style with natural wood and stone. There is a pretty and atmospheric village square at the centre, only 2-3 minutes walk from the apartment. Within Les Coches you will find a varied choice of restaurants and bars as well as a bakery, deli and supermarket. If you fancy a change of scenery then Montchavin is just 3km further down the road. Here you will find a traditional alpine village offering a mixture of restaurants and bars set amidst local houses and animal barns.

Non-skiing activities are diverse and include a natural ice skating rink, dog sledding, snow shoeing, paragliding, walking excursions with guides, cinema (Montchavin), and discothèque for nightlife (Montchavin).
