About Catrina MacPhee

I grew up in the old Number 19 which had been in our family for generations, in 2010 my wife and i took the decision to knock down the old house which had lain empty for over 20 years and build a new family home there. In 2011 we built Eagles Rest as a holiday let and found that as well as really enjoying welcoming guests into our property we were doing a good job of providing the comfort and facilities that guests require from their holiday accommodation, we simply based this on what we value when we are away from home. Due to family and work commitments we moved to Inverness in 2012 and decided to let Number 19 as well as Eagles Rest as holiday homes, which has been very successful. We love the area and will return one day.

Catrina MacPhee purchased this cottage in 2010

Why Catrina MacPhee chose Isle of Skye

Number 19 and Eagles Rest have been built and furnished to a very high standard obtaining 5 star accreditation (Number 19) and 4 star (Eagles Rest) year after year from our main tourist board authority Visit Scotland. Situated in one of the most spectacular parts of Skye for scenery and wildlife we have returning guests year after year who love the area as well as the property giving us some excellent reviews on Trip Adviser.

What makes this cottage unique

The games room that come when you rent Number 19, there is not another self catering property on Skye or indeed the Highlands that you will get this kind of facilities provided for your stay. The play park, the views, the wildlife and the northern lights are all here.

Peaceful cozy retreat

  • 4 of 5

The cottage has everything one could want for a relaxing vacation. The kitchen was clean and well stocked with all the essentials for cooking. The bed and sofa were very comfortable and the whole cottage felt spacious for a one bedroom. Check-in and out were effortless. The only negative comment I have is that the stairs to the second floor are narrow and steep so not for someone with mobility issues.

This place had everything we needed for our stay on Skye. Location was great, fantastic views and easy to get to other parts of the island. Would visit again and recommend.
