Guestbook comments from the owner

Had a lovely short break at Huckleberry Cottage. Arrived at The Black Horse Pub to pick the keys up and was welcomed by a freindly face. The cottage was well equipped with everything you can possible need for a comfortable stay. Log fire was very cosy at night and the property even has under floor heating. The beds were very large and comfortable and the linen was of a very high standard which is a must for me. Bathroom was very clean but could of done with some nice big bath sheets a towels were abit small. My daughter enjoyed exploring the fields around the cottage and we all felt very safe and secure duing our stay. Felt like you were in the middle of no-where but lots of local ammenities including The Stables bar, Beamish Hall, Italian restaraunt and shops just a short drive from the cotage. Would highly recommend this rental to friends and family and will hoping to stay again ourselves.

Visiting Northumberland

The cottage is amazing. We couldn't believe that this was the cottage we had booked. The location is ideal, the staff at the Black Horse were great, and the setting was amazing. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer.

Gorgeous, cosey little cottage.

  • 4 of 5

We had a fab stay at Huckleberry cottage! There wasn't really anywhere or anything in the cottage that we didn't like but we absolutely loved the conservatory! The bedrooms were comfie but far too hot at night and the upper bunk in the smaller room had a bit of a sway on it if you move in bed. That said they are minor little bits and certainly didn't really impact on our stay. We would definitely recommend the cottage to others.

Third stay at Huckleberry Cottage.

  • 5 of 5

It was our third stay at Huckleberry Cottage so we know the place well and once again we have had a really smashing time. One small comment I would make - from experience we know that the cottage does not provide hand towels so we take our own - however I find that quite surprising as I would have thought that hand towels were a necessity.

First class cottage in an excellent location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed three nights at the cottage, and our expectations were fully justified by the description. The cottage is in a great location, we felt safe letting the dog run about without his lead. The cottage was beautifully furnished and the whole experience was wonderful. The scenery was superb open fields and woods, what more can you ask for. The Black Horse was just a short walk and the food and atmosphere were great - staff friendly and helpful.
