Villa Asteri benefits from sea views, private pool, a pool-side shower, bedroom balconies, air-con and complementary WI-fi. This is an exclusive development of only 4 properties and Villa Asteri enjoys wide views of the Aegean.
You can enjoy your privacy, being tucked away in Gennadi, right around the corner from the village shops and a short walk from the beach. It is especially recommended to sit with a glass of wine at night and stargaze.
We are pleased to announce that for 2014 we have been fully vetted and awarded full EOT license status from the Greek Tourist Board.

We stayed in villa Asteri for two weeks over the time we got married in Lindos. The villa itself is clean, well equipped and beautifully furnished. The three bathrooms were a godsend when my bridesmaids and mums came for the day we got ready although the hairdresser and taxi drivers struggled to find the villa and we had to give very precise directions! The pool was cleaned regularly and had a lovely view of the sea and coastline in the distance. I watched a few sunrises over the coast from the balcony it was so peacful. Gennadi itself is a lovely old village with a couple of shops, bars and restaurants (we loved mammas kitchen!) and an ancient bakery to die for! There was a chemist nearby which could be handy and the bus route takes you right from the centre of the village into kiotari, pefkos, lardos and Lindos right up to Rhodes town. Taxis were expensive to the busier parts of the island so would recommend hiring a car like we did to explore as Gennadi is not close to many tourist sights and the beach there wasn't the best on the island. The pool was lovely and was cleaned regularly and we also used the barbecue while we were there (butchers in the local supermarket was very cheap and great quality) only suggestion really would be to provide some wine glasses and some more kitchen utensils as we struggled with preparing food with what we had, that's the only thing we could fault really which is why we gave all 5 stars! Thankyou for a relaxing 2 weeks and we will probably see you again for an anniversary or two! Jess and Sam Morgan from Yorkshire.
We found the Villa Asteri to be one of the most comfortable villas we have rented over the years. The facilities are modern, immaculately clean, comfortable and very user friendly. The owners were very quick to respond to any enquiry before our trip and also during our stay. The Village had every thing we needed in a very, very short walking distance, with a great friendly atmosphere. We hired a car and explored just about the whole Island during our stay which was wonderful but at the end of each day it was a pleasure to return to the Villa and Village.
The house is spacious, beds are comfortable, a/c works well.
The house is clean.
Pool is a plus.
I was expecting shampoo and soap for that kind of property.
The numerous ants in the kitchen annoyed me very much.
The lack of storage to put the garbage was a problem. We had to go to the village to dispose it.
Gennadi is a pretty village and it is close to many nice beaches.
Paul, the house keeper was very helpful.
If the minor Problems I mentionned would be solved, I would definitely recommend this place.
The villa has everything you need and is well maintained.
Location is good with nice views of the surroundings and the sea.
Good location in the village, close to the bakery, supermarket and some nice taverns.
We recommend deinitivt this villa and hope we can return some day.
This was the sixth time I've visited Greece and although I have always had a great time, in the past, the accommodation has often been problematic.
Villa Asteri is head and shoulders above anywhere else I've ever stayed. My girlfriend and I and two young children had a fantastic time. The Villa looks great, was spotless when we arrived and is fitted out very well indeed with everything you could possibly need. Lovely spacious air-conditioned rooms. Very comfortable beds. Three really good showers inside with reliable hot water. (Greek plumbing can be iffy) and a great pool. My seven year old daughter could just comfortably stand on the bottom and sitting outside at night with it lit up was a great way to relax.
The Villa is situated well for seeing most of Rhodes. Lindos is about twenty minutes away and breathtakingly beautiful and Rhodes town is only about an hours drive.
In summary I cannot find fault with Villa Asteri. My family and I had a really great holiday and having such a nice base just finished it off. I would definately stay here again.
The villa is a beautifull, clean and comfortable place for a relaxing stay for those who don't like to be in the crowded north of the island. The surroundings of the villa were poor because of the financial crisis at that moment. Lots of houses were empty and building works of some houses were even stopped during the building of it. A car is necassary. Rhodes town is a trip of an hour by car but beautifull Lindos ( a must) is not so far away. The beach (with pebbles) is not far away from the house and also not so crowded. People in the restaurants are friendly and not so under pressure. A visit to Papa Georgiu ( a Greek Orthodox priest who runs Chrissy's Taverne a restaurant at Lachania a village nearby) was one of the top experiences. The contacts with Eleni the owner of the villa were good and friendly. Advice: take some DVD's if you want to stay in the evening at the villa (after spending a nice selfmade dinner at terrace at the pool).
- Villa Asteri has a private pool and is a short walk from village shops (supermarket, bakery, fruit and veg, chemist, moto-hire and village cafes).
- Gennadi is perfect for families and relaxation. A year round village which does not have noisy bars or nightclubs.
- 800m walk to beach. Gennadi Beach is not overcrowded, and benefits from 3 local tavernas. It is favoured by Greeks for its clear water and long open beach.
- The villa downstairs is split level, air conditioned, fitted kitchen, dining area, lounge with downstairs WC. Upstairs there are 2 air-conditioned en suite bedrooms with fitted wardrobes. Both with balconies overlooking the patio and private pool.Complementary Wi-fi is included.
- The Aegean coastline can be enjoyed from all aspects of the property, with stunning views.
-Off road parking.
Golf: The 18 hole, par 73 golf course at nearby Afandou (26 miles) was designed by world famous course architect Donald Harradine.
