The pictures don't do the view justice. It's just jaw dropping. Pedro is a great host -- he provides a detailed map and a great route to follow to see Porto, and loads of recommendations for things to see and places to eat. The apartment is comfortable, quaint, and in a safe neighborhood. The parking (included) is close by and there's even a washer. We couldn't have asked for anything more. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
The apartment is situated in Vila Nova de Gaia, this is a quet aria just across the river and Porto, which is a short walk away. The Metro, bus station are close, also the center of Porto is just 10 minutes to go.
The apartment is very cozy, nice, very clean ,there is inside all that you can need, we was with 2 children, there are even a stroller and a lot of toys for our little-one.
Pedro, the owner is incredible friendly and nice and did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible, he picked up us at the airport very late at the night, spent a lot of time with us, made us a little tour on the city ,gave us a lot of information about good restaurants, museums, beaches, interesting places in Porto and near there. Our family recommends definitely this fantastic apartment!

The beautiful apartment takes on a magical view at night over the glistening lights of Porto. It's location is perfect ..close to all the restaurants and hop on hop off bus stop. The best part is the owner Pedro who has great suggestions and tips to make your visit perfect.

Me and my newly wed wife had a perfect honeymoon at River place 1. Everything was just as promised on web, and Pedro did his part perfectly. We were in contact few times before our arrival, questions, confirming our schedule and so on. Pedro replied always quickly and everything went really well. Even our worry about very early flight back home and very very early (04:15am) pickup to airport was noproblem at all! Pedro gave very good information about Porto, good places to visit and eat (Santiago F!!) The apartment was perfect for our needs, location and the view to Douro is fantastic. Everything is close, public transport works well and restaurants are close, only few hundred meters, plus or minus 30 meters in altitude ;-) I can and I have recommended River Place to everybody and my friends, as well as city of Porto/Vila Nove de Gaia as a very pleasant place to visit.
We were very happy with our stay here. Pedro was very hospitable and always on time, going out of his way to make our stay pleasant. The apartment is clean, plenty big and has a fabulous view.
Our family of five was welcomed to Porto by Pedro, a very friendly man with lots of information about the city and the neighborhood. The apartment is exactly as it seems and the kitchen pantry was stocked with the basics. A nice addition was a refrigerator full of milk, juice, and butter. The local shops were very helpful. The apartment is in a good location-just a short walk to transportation...including the red tour bus, the train, and the sky tram. My three children were thrilled to find the toy box in one of the rooms and my husband and I enjoyed the view. The bonuses were the updates by Pedro on traffic and possible bus strikes through emails. There is plenty of entertainment for all kinds of interest in the area. We have shared the information about the apartment with most of our friends and want to return to this establishment in the future. This was by far the most enjoyable stay we have had of anywhere we have visited.
The apartment enjoys a prime location opposite the River Douro. Located in Ribeira de Gaia, is a few minutes walk from the Port Wine Cellars and the historic center of Porto. About 2 minutes walk from the apartment are many restaurants with typical regional food, cafes, bars, and main shopping streets. If you want to visit the city of Oporto, just need to cross the bridge D. Louis, and into the heart of Oporto where you can enjoy unique features of the historic center of Porto (without transport) .)
One of the oldest cities in Europe, Porto has enjoyed World Heritage classification since 1996. Perched on the banks of river Douro, one of its six bridges was designed by Gustave Eiffel, whose signature touch is immediately recognised.
Along these very banks, visit the iconic cellars and discover more than 30 Port wine labels, most of which are world-famous.
Within the town of Porto itself, lovely vast panels of Portuguese tiles, in all number of intricate designs and colours, can be admired in Carmo Church, Almas Chapel, the interior of Sao Bento station and indeed along many of its rustic streets. The town is equally rich in historic monuments and outstanding examples of Baroque architecture, such as Sao Francisco, the Santa Clara churches, town hall.
Porto - Comtemporary architecture: In more recent years, Porto has carved an enviable reputation for its contemporary architecture, two laureate Pritzker prize Siza Vieira (1992) and Souto Moura (2011) including modern designs such as the Serralves Comtemporary Art Museum and House of Music, both of which host permanent exhibitions and shows.
