House can be rented as a 3 bedroom as bedroom 4 can be closed off. Please request this at the time of enquiry to receive the lower nightly rate. We will automatically quote you for the 4 bedroom house unless otherwise requested. Rates are for renting the full house - deduct 20% off all rates for renting the house as a 3 bedroom property.

Set in a private and safe mews development of only 8 houses.

All 4 bedrooms are doubles with 3 bathrooms and one separate toilet. The house is furnished in a modern contemporary style with many original paintings. In addition to the 4 double beds it is possible to arrange for 3 single day beds to be at the property (these beds can be used by 3 children or adults and these will need to be requested in advance).

For groups of 8+ adults an additional charge of £20 per adult per night will apply.

** We reserve the right to charge additional security deposit for large all adult groups**

The house is fantastic value for money with established gardens and two decked seating areas. The garden is south facing which is a real sun trap in the summer. There's a modern large gas fired BBQ that's easy to use.

Wonderful house equipped with everything you could want, large living area, 2 of 3 doubles have en suite bathrooms, a double and a single on the second floor have a shared bathroom, beautiful garden stra enjoyable, ultra-equipped kitchen (2 ovens), alarm system to separate areas, private parking space in front of the door. The tube is about 1000 feet from the door, easy to reach, on the Route 2 large supermarkets and other commercial activities, the area is very quiet. Getting to Trafalgar square (to have 1 point in the city center), is sempilce and fast, including 1000 meters to walk to the tube stop + coffee + caffènero subway trip with return line and stop waiting at the start and transmission line takes about 25-30 minutes, all inclusive. You can imagine how easy it is leaving home at 9:00 in the morning to think of returning for lunch at 12:30 / 13:00. also because buying food ready is really beloved, unlike shopping is cheaper than at home. What else to say? The owner is friendly and always available, we will definitely go back next summer because London always has its charm, and here we were better than at home. Lovely home in South London

We were 4 adults sharing this home for a week, and were spoilt for space! Less than 10 minutes from either Balham station or Clapham South, the location was ideal. We lucked out and had probably what was the nicest week of the year here to spend in the house, and made use of the garden and bbq. Leigh was attentive and responded to any question we had in a timely fashion. Good wifi, beds, linens, towels provided. Would recommend to anyone.

Commendable experience

An English teacher, her 5 pupils and 3 parents stayed at Benjamin Mews in July 2016, and it was the best part of our excursion to London. Excellent communication with Leigh the owner from the moment of booking, splendid level of access information, the location and the house itself - five out of five stars. Everything working and ready in the house offering the much-needed comfort after each packed excursion day. Cooking was easy with nothing missing except maybe larger tea/coffee pots to make enough breakfast drink for 9 people (we used the largest cooking pot) and a larger ladle to serve soup or salad.

We loved the manual waiting for us in the kitchen with all the useful information on the neighbourhood of Balham and tried two of the restaurants recommended there - the Gurkha's for an ethnic (Nepali) welcome dinner and the Lambert's for an exquisite British-French final culinary experience, both within 15 minutes' walk from Benjamin Mews. If/when we go to London next with a group of friends, whether for a long weekend or longer, it's gotta be Benjamin Mews!

Perfect London Vacation Rental For Extended Family

This was our first trip to England, we really didn't have any idea if the location would be good or not. Our primary focus was to find a home reasonably suited and priced for our family of 5 (4 + in-law). When we arrived, we felt very relieved that the home was in a great location, not too far from "the tube", safe streets, friendly neighbors, etc...

The home: We had enough space to spread out and relax in the rooms and living room area. Very comfortable sofa and bean bags in the living room. The kitchen appliances, cookware, and utensils were up to par. Beds, Baths and showers were average, not many high end amenities, but definitely met our budget and expectations. Very suitable for those who plan to be out and about the entire day, and be able to return to the comforts of a "home" while on vacation. We used the kitchen quite a bit for breakfast, and a few dinners.

Balham: This was a very nice area, we felt safe to walk the streets at night. The "tube" is a bit of a walk, so we used our TravelCards to board the community bus, which passes by the home every 15 min, and takes you to the station. Be sure to get zone 3 included on your card, as Balham is just outside the typical Zone 1&2 tourist spots in London. There were also many restaurants on Balham High Road. We enjoyed the Sourdough Pizza restaurant across from Sainsbury's the most, very good!!

Leigh was also a great help as well, he was very helpful when we accidentally turned off the water heater. Watch out for the light switches above the counter (by the microwave), it turns off the hot water boiler.!! Thanks Leigh for walking us through that, we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely stay in a lovely home

The house was just right for our group of nine. It is located in a quiet neighborhood and is an easy walk form the train station. It is in zone three of the Underground so be aware that you would have to pay just a tad more to get into Central London.

There is a Poundland, Sainsbury and Waitrose between the house and train station which makes picking up groceries very convenient. Local restaurants nearby are very good. Seascape Fish Bar offers the best fish and chips.

Other reviewers have already given great descriptions of the house and I agree with them. We were supplied with the needed linens and towels. Two hairdryers were provided, which is very helpful for us coming from outside the UK. Everything was neat and clean when we arrived. The cots are the springy folding types and are not as firm as a regular bed. One person in our group didn't mind that, while another was not able to get comfortable in it. The regular beds were very, very comfortable and none had any problems with them.

Leigh was very helpful all throughout the process of booking, checking in, and checking out. He gave very detailed directions which made everything easy. He was also quick to respond to questions and requests. We did not have a phone and we mainly communicated via e-mail.

For most of the people in our group, it was our first time in the UK. Staying in this house gave us a view of a London suburb and left us with good memories with a desire to visit again.

a great place

la maison est très confortable., propre et spacieuse. Les chambres sont dignes d'un très bon hôtel. L'emplacement dans une petite impasse est très calme: ce qui est très reposant après une journée dans Londres. Le quartier offre toutes les commodités à 5 minutes de la maison. Très bon rapport qualité/prix pour une ville comme Londres.

Fabulous house in Balham

I was desperately hunting for the perfect place for a girlie weekend and this was the one! We had such a wonderful stay, the open plan sitting room and dinning room was perfect for cosy drinks and long breakfasts and meals together and made it very social. All the bedrooms were decent sizes and there are THREE bathrooms (no fights for showers for us girls!). Every element of the house had such attention to detail - the wine fridge, candles everywhere and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. From the minute I walked through the door you got a sense of a welcoming home.

Location wise it is SO easy to get to central London and you've got everything on your doorstop from great pubs and bars to supermarkets and transport.

Not only this but Leigh was amazing, sending me everything I could possibly need and like the house his attention to detail and helpful manner was impecable! I knew he really wanted us to have a great stay too.

I would highly recommend Benjamin Mews to anyone looking for a large house to stay in London we had the best stay ever and hope to book again!
