About Samantha Storer
I live in England with my Husband and Daughter who is aged nine years old and loves school. My Husband and I have a passion for Crete, we have been visiting the island for the last twenty years, after lots of searching we have found the perfect spot to share with others.
Samantha Storer purchased this Villa in 2014
Why Samantha Storer chose Apokoronos
The house is so much part of the real Crete, just away from the main Tourist areas but oh so far, you can't help but relax and switch off when you stay in Melidoni, locals going about local business with not a tourist in sight, mix with them and embrace the way to live, the diet, the social scene, the culture!
What makes this Villa unique
Peace and quiet apart from birds, goat and sheep bells, with the most amazing views. Blue sky, chill out by the private swimming pool, gardens to match, fantastic views, night time sky is second to none with the Milky Way looking it's finest, shooting stars galore, soak it up it really is a special place.

Gorgeous stone villa, lovely hosts
The villa is even nicer than the photos, it’s built with thick stone walls and wooden beamed ceilings. The rooms are all good size and the beds are super comfy. My husband and I stayed in August with our three children and we had the perfect amount of space and privacy. The villa is cleaned with fresh linen mid week which was much appreciated. The children loved the pool and we loved the views of the mountains and valleys to the sea, the mountain breezes and the rich greenery. There are several lovely villages between the house and the coast, and we explored different areas of the coastline too.
Stavros and his wife were very kind friendly and helpful, not intrusive but always available if needed.
Very good communication with the hosts.
We highly recommend this place as an ideal slightly off the beaten track location from which to explore northern Greece
Wonderful house in wonderful area
We have just returned from 2 glorious weeks’ holiday in this beautiful house in the village of Melidoni. The scenery is stunning and visiting the nearby sites and villages is a fantastic experience. The house is beautifully built, designed and stylish and there is a lovely pool. We were there with our children, partners and grandchildren and we all loved it. A huge bonus was that the manager, Stavros, couldn’t have been more helpful, informative and interesting on the history, culture, geology - everything - of Crete. We followed much of his advice on places to visit, eat etc and were never disappointed. We love Crete and this was the most beautiful place we have stayed.
Lovely clean and modern apartment with a gentle mountain breeze. Kids loved the pool and the beaches and restaurants nearby were plentiful. Lots to see and do, throughly enjoyed our stay!
Really beautiful views and would definitely go and stay there yet again
any holidays we have ever had and would recommend the villa it was spotless it had everything one could wish for and a beautiful pool for the children
Stunning Villa at the top of Melidoni - views are outstanding
We had an amazing holiday which was helped by the beautiful villa that is tucked away at the top of Melidoni . The village is extremely quite , just what we needed for a relaxing break. The island is stunning and with Stavros ' top places to visit' it meant that we spent many hours creating extraordinary life time memories.
The villa is well equipped , clean and the beds extremely comfy - it created the best setting for such a relaxing but memorable holiday.
So pleased you and your daughters enjoyed your time in Melidoni , Crete, hope your able to return one day.
Lovely, quiet , peaceful and charming stone villa. We’ll build and we’ll equiped
We absolutely loved staying here so much that we added an extra 4 days on. The mountain views and the tranquility were exactly what we needed and I can honestly say it was a small slice of heaven.
The hosts were superb and extremely helpful all along and Stavros was a mine of information and a great help with suggestions
Be aware, you need a car and the road can be a little tight.
Nearest decent eatery was 3 miles away down hill
All in all a very enjoyable and relaxing place
Would defiantly return here
So pleased that you all enjoyed your stay, hope to see you again in the future.
