Great terrace

  • 4 of 5

Stayed here for 4 nights with a friend. Lovely appartment with high ceilings and thankfully air con in the bedroom. The huge bed has a memory foam mattress which was sooo comfy. The outdoor space is fantastic. Lots of seats to sit and relax and take in the fabulous views. It's just a shame we didn't get to use it much. We were provided with 1 bath and 1 hand towel but it would've been nice to have had more as we were showering twice a day with the heat and didn't have time to put them in washing machine. Admittedly we didn't ask Eugenio for anymore. And the only con is that we could only find one socket in the kitchen, but no biggie, we just plugged the toaster in the lounge whilst the kettle was on.

And I have to say a huge thank you to Eugenio for being a fantastic host! He picked us up from the airport (€10pp) and then gave us a guided tour around Marino, pointing out the train station, supermarket and places to eat and most importantly the gelateria! He also rescued us when we missed the last train from Rome. And please note that the last train is 21.20(?) if you go online and check the times it says there is one at 22.20. Apparently this was running last year.

Can recommend Al Cantuccio as a place to eat which is just up the road. Great pizza and friendly staff.

Le Terrazze

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at Le Terrazze. I was travelling with my wife and my two daughters of 7 & 9. It was a short fused reservation but even yet the owner...Eugenio managed to put things together and give the family and myself the best deal possible. When we arrived at the train station (which is literally a 5 minute walk from the apartment) he was there to greet us and lead the way to the apartment. The apartment was in neat and orderly fashion. He sat down with me and my wife and explained the activities to do in and around Castelli Romani. He recommended some delicious restaurants which was absolutely awesome food!!!! When he was showing us the ins and outs of the apartment he opened up a fridge with some complimentary beer and the local wine as a token of his hospitality. The kitchen was also supplied with the capacity of having your own continental breakfast...all complimentary as well. Throughout the stay he checked on us (unfortunately it was raining a bit during our stay) and gave us umbrellas and a bunch of DVDs while we were waiting for the rain to pass. In my experience during my short stay Eugenio was the most attentive and most responsive host I have ever come across. I travel alot so that's really saying alot. He was even kind enough to give us a ride the next day after check out for a very small fee. The apartment is central enough to see the sights in Marino and also central for the train station in the case that one does wanna see the sights around Castelli Romani or Roma which is 5 stops away. My highest recommendations on any future tenant considering a stay at this most awesome holiday rental. The management and stay are the epitimy of what a customer is suppose to get treated like. Will most definitely go back!!! Thanks Eugenio!!!

"When we spent the day in...

  • 5 of 5

"When we spent the day in Rome and took the train back to Marino in the evning we said: "We are on our way home". This summons the apartment;

spacious, comfortable, a large terass whith a splendid view, and at the same time personal and relaxing. The owner took great and friendly care of us, answered our questions and gave us helpful information. One evening, at about 21.30, when we by mistake overloaded the electric capacity and the whole apartment went dark, we had to call the owner. Within a few minutes he came, fixed it and showed us the reset button.

The included private parking lot for the car was very convenient.

Marino is a nice small town, and also a very good base for excurions to Rome (train) and Castelli Romani (car)."

"This apartment was excellent. Perfect location for Rome as well as Lake Albano, Castel Gandolfo and historic towns nearby and the accommodation was spacious, to a high standard and well equipped. The owner was attentive without being overbearing and made sure that all was well throughout our stay. I booked a return visit immediately. Fantastic!"

'Just a few kilometers from' Ancient Rome is the City of Marino, famous for its vineyards and wine exports all over the world. At the center of the country, but in a very quiet, there's 'Villa Savoie'. An apartment renovated and newly furnished (June 2011) and equipped with all the amenities. Offering a large terrace to enjoy appetizers and dinners by candlelight with the background of the eternal city as breathtaking. At the center of the country can enjoy the best restaurants and walking in the historical streets of this country; The supermarket, bank, pharmacy etc. everything is close to you, will not leave you alone. A few meters away is the train station with 40 minutes takes you to Termini Station in the center of Rome, where you can move quietly to see museums, fountains and walking on the ancient streets of Roman Gladiators. What are you waiting, the time has come to book! I have not convinced? Look at the pictures.
