Winter or Summer, this is an entrancing environment. A beautiful sunny location awaits you when you rent our apartment in Haus Bavaria. The two double bedrooms each have French windows opening onto the patio and balcony, whilst the living room has both French windows and a wall of opening windows, making the space a delight to be in. A few minutes walk from the village center, Haus Bavaria offers peace and tranquility which is ideal both for couples and families with young children. The apartment has a good assortment of games. This is the ideal chance to leave the TV back at home as we have decided not to put one in the apartment. Plenty of local cafes offer internet access for the price of a cup of coffee. Portable internet is also available from the tourist office.
Sitting just below the forest, this is an opportunity to make the best of the fresh air and change of pace.

We live 26km from Saas Fee, close to Visp and are generally available to deal with any events or questions that arise during our guests' stay.

I (Paula) used to ski in Saas Fee as a child and returned as an adult to find most of my memories intact. Everything seemed more or less unchanged and still as beautiful as it had been through the eyes of the child. At first we made our home in Saas Fee before moving down to Visp. We still spend weekends in Saas Fee, staying at our apartment in between guests.
We enjoy visiting our apartment and finding everything we need as well as a clean comfortable environment. It is important to us that our guests have the same pleasing experience. Guests should find fruit, milk, tea, coffee, bread, butter and eggs (from my chickens): that is, enough for some kind of snack whatever time you arrive. You should also find light bulbs, batteries, plasters etc. as well as plenty of paper in the bathroom. All the things that we like to find for ourselves.
In our apartment you will find a rucksack, pull along shopping trolley, a pair of grips to help you walk up the slope, a sledge or two for the children. We also provide a travel cot on request. Usually in one of the bedrooms there is a spare set of children's sheets.
We offer as much flexibility as possible in terms of arrival and departure. If there are no guests leaving the same day as new guests arrive, for example, arrival is possible early in the morning. Similarly, if no new guests are arriving, evening departure is usually possible.
Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and attention to detail. You have really made us feel welcome, from your welcome note and wine and breakfast in the fridge (we couldn’t resist the eggs from your own chickens!) to how clean the apartment is and your detailed info at the start of this book. We have loved staying here and we’ll be in touch again next year. The apartment is so well equipped and had everything we needed, including peace and quiet for a great night’s sleep.
We absolutely loved staying here for 5 days. It is quite a trek up to the flat, but totally worth it. The location is great and Paula was an awesome hostess.
The flat was as advertised with the rooms, bathroom, and kitchen, and it was perfect for our needs.

We are a family of 4 and stayed at Bavaria for 3 nights. The apartment is really well set-up and furnished for a self-catering family and has the most magnificent views, completely unobstructed, of the glacier and the Allalin. The balcony/terrace runs three sides of the apartment adding to the sense of space and it's wonderful watching the majestic mountain panorama on all sides.
The apartment was spotless and well furnished in a simple manner; the kitchen was really sensibly kitted out and the fridge furnished with plenty of delicious food for our first breakfast. All linen and towels were provided and the charming and helpful owner provided much useful advice on Saas Fee - what to do, where to buy food and eat out and so on. Very sensibly, as there is a walk uphill from the local supermarkets, there is a backpack provided to carry shopping and the owner wisely recommended going to the Co-op at 9am in the morning for cut-price, excellent food!
The apartment is close to the cable car and lifts and wonderful walking paths extend in any direction you choose to take. The views in Saas Fee are so stupendous that you don't have to take a cable car to enjoy them but follow walking paths in Saas Fee, which is at 2,000m altitude.
We had a wonderful stay and will be recommending this property to our friends and relatives.
We spent 6 days over New Year at this lovely apartment in Haus Bavaria and had a great time skiing in Saas Fee with our 5 year old. The apartment is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A perfect place to relax and unwind after a hard day on the slopes which are just across from the apartment so you really can ski in/ ski out which was great. Our little boy had only skied once before but we were still able to ski down the nursery slope with him straight to ski school each morning. So no walking for ages in ski boots etc to get there or back. Paula (the owner) is very helpful. There was milk and a few basics there for our arrival. Lovely views. Beds very comfy. Fab underfloor heating in the lounge. Boot room at the apartment block. Lovely quiet location but still only an easy 5 min walk to the centre with it's many bars, restaurants and supermarkets. We cooked in every night and then sat and played games, read. Lots of games and books in the apartment so no TV necessary. We would highly recommend the place.
Lovely, well-appointed apartment - just as described. Clean and well maintained. Amazing views. Cable car up the mountain followed by relaxing walk down whilst spending time with the marmots was the highlight of our visit. And of course the friendly and welcoming local restaurateurs and shop owners. All in all we had a splendid time and can't wait to visit again.
We spent a lovely week in this apartment. There was enough space for 2 adults and 4 children, with plenty of cooking equipment, games and books. Paula was extremely helpful with advice from airport transfers to bakeries and good walks! Although there was not much snow around the house, it still was an easy walk to the nursery slope from where we could ski to the lifts. Everything was clean and tidy, and little extras like a rucksack to carry our shopping in, fresh eggs, and toys for the children, made it a pleasure to stay there.
We had a fantastic week!

Located in the gorgeous unspoilt car free village of Saas Fee, this modern, sunny, comfortable 2 bedroom apartment (sleeps 6), offers ski-in/ski-out winter potential and glorious rambles in the summer. The wraparound patio is reached via French windows from the living room and each bedroom. Garden furniture presents a lovely setting for refreshing breakfasts.
Bavaria is a stone’s throw from the ski slopes (summer golf course) and just below a dense, scented forest. A 2-5 minute walk down hill will bring you to the village centre (small supermarkets, bakers, cafes, restaurants and bars), whilst a short walk up hill allows you to breathe deeply, relax, and admire breathtaking views.
In our apartment we provide a shopping trolley and a rucksack. A child travel cot is also available. You should also find a sledge or two. For summer there is a portable barbeque.
When you arrive, we aim to ensure you have tea, coffee, milk and something to eat so that you do not need to worry about getting to a shop on the way up.
The standard of food and service in Saas Fee is generally high. Several excellent rural restaurants are accessible by romantic woodland paths.
Saas Fee, with a plethora of playgrounds is a child's paradise, and the pool (sauna, kid's pool, massage jets) provides fun and relaxation all year round.

Alpine golf The nine-hole golf course in Saas-Fee is situated on mountain terrain and makes a welcome change for any golfer.

Ski: 'Saas-Fee is the main village in the Saastal or the Saas Valley in the canton of Valais. The villages in its neighbourhood are Saas-Almagell, Saas-Grund and Saas-Balen.
Its location close to the glaciers of the Dom and the Allalinhorn provides winter sport opportunities throughout the year, and neighbouring peaks such as the Weissmies, the Nadelhorn and the Lenzspitze are popular climbs in the summer season. The community is considered to be a very attractive winter sport destination in the Swiss Alps. Typical activities include skiing, carving, snowshoe trekking, canyon climbing and ice climbing.
Saas-Fee offers 22 lifts, including 3 cable cars, 1 funicular railway (Metro Alpin), 5 gondolas (1 dedicated to walkers), 2 chairlifts, the remainder being surface lifts (draglifts). The ski run has a vertical drop of 1,800 m (5,906 ft), a top elevation of 3,550 m (11,647 ft) and covers 100 km (30 km beginner, 45 km intermediate, 25 km advanced).'
