We chose this two bedroom cottage as it stated there were also two bathrooms. Unfortunately this is slightly misleading. There is a shower room on the ground floor and a toilet and sink only on the first floor.
The cottage is well situated and in Crich there is a marvellous curry house, fish and chip shop(large portions) and pizza restaurant. Plus local pubs. No need therefore to cook - the cottage does have everything you need if you wish to self cater including dishwasher.
No issue with an evening in Netflix on the tele and a cupboard of DVD’s. Places we visited were Lea Gardens - Chatsworth House - Eyam - Bakewell and Matlock.
Beautiful cottage in the heart of Crich
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely hope to visit again. The cottage was fully equipped with everything you could ask for. The underfloor heating was a lovely treat and we rarely used the log burner as this was sufficient enough. The location is fab, right in the heart of a Crich with lots of lovely walks close by. I would highly recommend ☺️
Splendid cottage, great value!
Roy and Ann obviously put a great deal of thought and effort in creating this comfortable cottage. It is very well equipped and supplied so you can start enjoying the cottage right away. Threre is even a spare toothbrush in case you forgot to bring your own. Tastefully decorated, just excellent.
Delightful cottage thoughtfully kitted out and tastefully furnished
Roy & Anne are brilliant hosts even ringing me up on my check in day to ask how I was and reminding me about check out time the day before. The cottage itself is a delight and makes the most of its beautiful location in the lovely village of Crich and its nearby tram museum. The Amber and Derwent Valleys are full of beauty and interest and do explore the sumptuous Bath-in-Derbyshire that is Buxton. Don't miss this gem... Gareth
Lovely cottage. Friendly and helpful owners.
Beautiful area with lots to do.
Excellent cottage in a friendly village
What a great find! We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious, comfortable and well appointed cottage. As soon as we opened the door we felt at home.
Communication with the owners was prompt and clear.
In the village, we were welcomed at the local pub, the butchers shop and "The Loaf" which sold very tasty breakfasts and lunches as well as excellent bread. There are lots of interesting villages within a few minutes drive to discover and an abundance of walking and cycling routes. The museum (with working spinning and weaving machines) at the Masson Mills is worth a visit.
We have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to anyone looking for a base to explore the delights of Derbyshire.
