The property was great. It was very comfortable and the location could not have been better. Our hostess, Mirta, was fantastic. Verona is such a wonderful town that I hope to return one day. If I do, and Mirta is still hosting, I will definitely be staying here.
Not quite 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.
Advertised as 3 bedrooms and 2 bath rooms but actually two bedrooms (with a pull-out sofa in living room) and 1 1/2 bathrooms.
Martin, I'm sorry but the description of the apartment on the site is as follows: The flat provides an entry, a living room with a sofa convertible in a king-size bed, a double room, a twin room, a balcony, a verandah, a fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. Even the photos highlight this arrangement. I was asked for a double bed and two singles without specifying that you wanted three rooms, which I would have gladly set up during your stay.
As for the bathrooms, they are two, small but two and complete (shower, sink, bidet and wc).
We enjoyed our stay very much. Should have spent longer in verona. It was so beautiful. Sheryl
Thank you Sheryl, you will always be welcome
Nice Accommodation in Verona
Mirta was an excellent host and greeted us to let us into the property. It has a gated parking area for 1 car. The apartment is about 4 stories up but there is an elevator from the lobby. The apartment consists of a living area, a bedroom with a queen bed, a smaller bedroom with two small twin beds (for kids or smaller adults), two bathrooms, and a kitchen and a small patio porch where the washer is located. The other bed is a sofa type queen bed in the living area. In the fridge were some drinks like water and beer. We had 6 adults and managed fine. The apartment would be best for 4 adults or 4 adults and 2 kids.
The apartment is just across the bridge from central Verona but just a short walk (I think 10 minutes). There are plenty of shops near the apartment like a grocery store and numerous coffee shops..
We would stay here again if we returned to Verona.
Very good base for a great town and area
Mirta was great throughout - helping very quickly with questions before and after booking, meeting us when we arrived, giving us ideas of things we could do and getting back to us immediately over one the one query we had while we were there (about recycling) . It was very nice to meet her.
Verona itself is beautiful, especially at night. We went to the Opera at the arena which was special + did the ol' Juliet balcony bit (which was good fun) and the Roman museum by the amphitheatre which had some amazing artefacts. Many of the buildings and streets in the town are wonderful and at night it is a very busy but quiet and romantic. We presume bars and restaurants are not allowed to play music as none seemed to in the historic centre (which is very big and the only bit you'll really likely see other than the immediate area around the apartment - which is nice).
The apartment is very nice, elegantly decorated and not nearly as formal as it might appear from the photos (so that was a good surprise). It is close to the old town (about 5 minutes walk). A good supermarket is a few doors away as was one particularly popular and good café for a morning coffee and filled croissant or cornetto pastry (about two doors away from the supermarket). The rooms are a good size and there is good air conditioning in the bedrooms and big lounge (where we moved the coffee table from the corner so we had a table to play cards around). Mirta had left us some very nice goodies and the kitchen had all you needed, including dishwasher and (on the veranda) a washing machine and clothes horse.
The shower in the 2nd bathroom was actually the best so we tended to use that one.
For those wanting total peace you need to appreciate that you are in a city and the windows in the main bedroom do not keep all the traffic noise from the road below out - but it is not a very busy road.
We went to Lake Garda twice - one day to Lazise (with our teenage children going to Gardaland in the evening while we went the 10mins drive back to Lazise for a meal and 'promenade' in Lazise - the little harbour is gorgeous) they thought Gardaland was excellent and a fair bit better than Alton Towers - it's a good cheap ticket after 6pm and closes at 11pm). We also went to Riva del Garda at the north of the lake on another day and that was a great place to swim; though if you only have time to do one we'd recommend Lazise (and it takes about half the time to get to it).
Excellent place to stay in Verona
Mirta was wonderful and always responded promptly and courteously to any questions by email or WhatsApp. She was waiting by the gate, despite the rain, as we arrived to let us in to the parking space. The apartment was exactly as pictured and in a great location. Everything was very clean and well maintained, including a brand new oven and a nice dishwasher. I would highly recommend staying in Mirta's apartment. We stayed for one week and were very glad we made this choice.
Thanks Thomas for being my guest! It was a pleasure to host you, you are a reliable person, communicative and very very tidy, the house was perfect! You will always be welcome!
