Perfect location with easy beach access and excellent local amenities
About Helen Donaldson
I have worked in the midlands for many years but lived on the south coast as a child and absolutely loving coming down to Highcliffe to escape the rush of daily life. This property was rented for the first time in 2018 with excellent reviews. I also have a rental in France also with excellent reviews and many return visitors (check out the reviews on Brittany Ferries property ref QA1196)
Helen Donaldson purchased this Bungalow in 2017
Why Helen Donaldson chose Christchurch
I love being able to just park up and walk to the beach and shops with everything I need within a 10 minutes. I also enjoy walking along the beach to Mudeford Quay (45mins) stopping off for a coffee or glass of wine along the way or for afternoon tea at Highcliffe Castle where there is often weekend events/entertainment. I enjoy cycling and the New Forest is just great. On a summers evening there is nothing better than sitting in a cliff top bar watching the sun go down. The Cliff House at Barton on Sea has an excellent Gin and Beer festival 23-27 Aug 2018 I have also used Hinton Admiral station (1.5miles) to commute to Waterloo in 1hr50m

Really restful stay
We stayed here with our son, daughter-in-law and six month old grandson, plenty of room for all of us and everything we needed. Lovely garden, full of birds - and squirrels. Short walk to the beach, but quite steep, not a problem for the younger ones! Plenty of places to visit within a short drive. Can really recommend a stay at this property.
A lovely bungalow in a nice setting, great access to beach/New forest/Town. Loved sitting in the conservatory with doors open in the sun watching the birds.
Very relaxing break
Comfortable bungalow in great location
A very comfortable well equipped bungalow in a great location.Walk down to the sea and Christchurch Bay from the door in 5 minutes. Within easy reach of the amenities you require and also for exploring the New Forest.
Lovely bungalow with fantastic private garden
A wonderful holiday in a comfortable, spacious and well-equipped bungalow just a short walk from the sea. The amazing, beautiful and private garden was perfect for watching all the birdlife visiting the garden and could also be enjoyed from indoors with lovely sunny seats looking out into the garden. The bungalow had everything we needed and was warm and cosy.
Wondering down to the sea through the Nature Reserve next to the house was great for a local stroll; the beach was lovely with a wonderful view across to the Needles, and the nearby cafe did excellent tea and cake.
We definitely hope to visit again, thank you!
Thank you so much for your review and nice to hear you enjoyed the bungalow and my garden! It’s a very relaxing and enjoyable spot. Thanks again, Helen
Beautiful bungalow, very clear, lovely place to stay.
Many thanks, pleased you liked it. I look after the bungalow and manage changeovers myself and it’s very satisfying to receive lovely reviews.
Spacious bungalow with lovely secluded garden
The bungalow is a lovely home from home with pretty much all that you need provided. We especially enjoyed the garden/decking area which was such a lovely and peaceful place to sit and relax – the only sounds were the birds coming from the nature reserve behind.
The bungalow itself is spacious, well presented, clean and homely (although the sofas face away from the TV, a minor gripe, leads to some interesting viewing angles!)
Also (note to owner), there is no slip mat in the en-suite shower, which perhaps needs to be addressed for safety reasons. Also, there was no guest book (that we could find) which we usually read to see handy tips/recommendations from other guests. The owner did however provide some information sheets about the house and local area.
Also we were a little disappointed there was no fresh pint of milk on arrival – perhaps this was an oversight. However these small things did not detract from the overall experience which was a lovely, relaxing holiday in a fantastic location, and we will hopefully visit again in the future.
Many thanks to the owner Helen for a great stay (and also for posting our charger that we accidentally left!).
