Tracy and Phillip Barre
Why Tracy and Phillip Barre chose Llansantffraid
This property is in a quiet secluded location so you truly feel that you have escaped. However if you want a busy time exploring and doing outdoor activities everything is pretty close to hand with the nearest town being 8 miles and the village 1.2 miles away. There is pony trekking and a golf course in the next village, paintballing quad trekking and many other activities a short drive along with historical buildings and plenty of country walks.
What makes this Barn unique
Le-Gro barn is a large family holiday home with all mod cons including underfloor heating and a log burner fire . With this property their are down stairs bedrooms and bathrooms, suitable for the less able as everything is on the ground floor with no steps and has wheelchair access. On the first floor up a set of oak stairs provides breath taking views of the surrounding countryside and the river flowing past. There are internal and external oak stairs leading to the luxury bedroom's on the second floor

This property had no faults perfect for our party of twelve .and very friendly welcome.
We would recommend this property to friends and family.
Great property in a fantastic location
We had a family get together over Easter to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday, the property looked great in the photos, but in 'real life' it was even better! We were amazed at the thought that had gone into the renovation of the barn and the attention to detail was second to none. We were 3 generations and there was plenty of room for the 10 of us to have our own space as well as room for everyone in the lounge and around the kitchen table.
Philip & Tracy were great hosts, they were very friendly and on hand when needed, but not over bearing. They just did that little bit more than was expected, when we arrived there were a few essentials in the fridge, a sponge cake on the table and an Easter egg for each of the children!
We had a great time, the weather was brilliant, which helped, but the children had great fun playing in the huge garden and even swam in the river!!
We will probably be back for the next big family celebration in a couple of years time!
Wow! Perfect place for a luxury stay!
We came here for a very special family weekend in March. Despite the terrible weather (not unexpected in Mid Wales) 11 of us had a lovely and comfortable stay. This barn has been lovingly designed and built with everything you could possibly want for a short stay away from home. The attention to detail is so impressive. We loved it. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful barn.
We have worked hard to create an environment where groups and families can relax in comfort. We are so glad you enjoyed the barn and its facilities. We have invested in finishes and specifications to blend rustic charm and modern comforts so you enjoy your holiday regardless of the weather.
Really enjoyed our stay with a great host (Phillip) would recommend Zipworld and the Waterfalls nearby.
We are really pleased that you liked our beautiful location and the wonderful activities we have locally and enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for your positive feed back.
Perfect holiday getaway!
We, as a family of three units, spent a week at Le Gro Barn. The house itself was amazing and catered to all of our individual needs, more than surpassing our expectations. Every convenience was provided for, and our hosts were both accommodating and helpful.
There is much to do in the area for both adults and children, but a few of our favourites were action walls, zip world, swallow falls and Ludlow town.
With the house being set on the land such as it is, you can really immerse yourself in the tranquil environment, providing the best possible chance of recharging your batteries and de stressing from life.
Can not recommend this place and the owners highly enough and I have no doubt that we will be booking again to return.
Thank you Vicki for your wonderful feedback. We are really pleased that you had an enjoyable stay and were able to experience many of the fun things we have for families to enjoy in the vicinity. It was a pleasure having you all stay with us and we hope to see you all again.
Wonderful location, beautiful property, immaculately clean, really lovely place to stay.
Met every need - peaceful, idyllic, close to town, yet far enough away to escape. Property was finished to a very high standard. Beds & linen were very comfortable & had a feeling of luxury. Loved every moment we spent there. Our hosts were most welcoming.
We are so glad you enjoyed staying in our Barn. We aim to meet your expectations in comfort, cleanliness, style and a warm welcome. Thank you for your kind words.
The Powys borders run along side the spectacular Dyke which King Offa ordered to be constructed in the 8th century, probably to divide his Kingdom of Mercia from rival kingdoms in what is now Wales. The Trail explores the tranquil Marches (as the border region is known) and passes through the Brecon Beacons National Park on the spectacular Hatterall Ridge. In addition it links no less than three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty – the Wye Valley, the Shropshire Hills and the Clwydian Hills.
1. Welshpool & Oswestry – about 15 – 20 minutes by car. Has a good range of supermarkets ( Tesco,Sainsburys, Morrisons, Somerfields, Iceland), all your high street favourites – Boots, WHSmith, plenty of cafes and coffee shops, and some specialist shops.
2. The nearby Medieval town of Shrewsbury and city Chester offering excellent shopping, cinemas and a race course.
Golf: Llanymynech golf club is visible from our property. Tee of in England and sink a putt in Wales.
