The accommodation is on two floors with two bedrooms and bathrooms, lounge and kitchen dinner on the ground floor.

The property has be renovated to a high standard while retaining many original features. There is a wood burner for those cosy evenings in. There is plenty of space for alfresco dining on the 12 seater patio set and BBQ provided. A perfect place to relax with a chilled drink and watch the sun set behind the hills. Loca Activities: As mentioned before Le-Gro barn is a wonderful place to come and unwind, and chill out in spectacular surroundings. However there is plenty of activities locally for those adventurous guest. There is paint balling, quad trekking, golf, pony trekking, fishing, and ten pin bowling to name but a few.
There are also many wonderful places of interest to visit such as Powys Castle, Chirk Castel, Llangollen Canal, Lake Vyrnwy and Llanrhyder water falls that are close by. We are fortunate to have nature reserves near by that make fantastic country walks.
If you fancy a busy bustling day then a trip to Chester or Shrewsbury is well worth it. They have spectacular medieval buildings and many unique shops.
Ludlow Castle is a great day out and the restaurants and food fair are famous nationally.
There are activities for the younger ones with Park Hall farm, Crazy knights, Blist Hill and Wonderland.
Amenities: The village of Llansantffraid is about 1.2 miles away and has a small grocery shop at the top of the village that provides hand made freshly baked bread daily. There is a garage with a well stocked shop. There is also the Spar and post office which again you can buy your groceries from. There is also an Indian restaurant and takeaway as well as a fish and chip shop. In the next villages of Four Crosses and Llanymynech there are Chinese takeaways. Llansantffraid also has a “The Station” which is remnant from the Llanfyllin line that has been converted into a restaurant. This property is in a quiet secluded location so you truly feel that you have escaped. However if you want a busy time exploring and doing outdoor activities everything is pretty close to hand with the nearest town being 8 miles and the village 1.2 miles away. There is pony trekking and a golf course in the next village, paintballing quad trekking and many other activities a short drive along with historical buildings and plenty of country walks.
Le-Gro barn is a large family holiday home with all mod cons including underfloor heating and a log burner fire . With this property their are down stairs bedrooms and bathrooms, suitable for the less able as everything is on the ground floor with no steps and has wheelchair access. On the first floor up a set of oak stairs provides breath taking views of the surrounding countryside and the river flowing past. There are internal and external oak stairs leading to the luxury bedroom's on the second floor
We came to the Granary needing peace & quiet, serene countryside ,water views and luxurious comfort. Here we got them all. An oasis pf calm and beautiful accommodation. A wonderful place to chill and unwind. Hope to come back for a long weekend with friends. Thank you.
Weekly change over is from Friday to Friday. Weekend breaks are from Friday to Monday. Mid week breaks are from Monday to Friday.
The Powys borders run along side the spectacular Dyke which King Offa ordered to be constructed in the 8th century, probably to divide his Kingdom of Mercia from rival kingdoms in what is now Wales. The Trail explores the tranquil Marches (as the border region is known) and passes through the Brecon Beacons National Park on the spectacular Hatterall Ridge. In addition it links no less than three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty – the Wye Valley, the Shropshire Hills and the Clwydian Hills.
1. Welshpool & Oswestry – about 15 – 20 minutes by car. Has a good range of supermarkets ( Tesco,Sainsburys, Morrisons, Somerfields, Iceland), all your high street favourites – Boots, WHSmith, plenty of cafes and coffee shops, and some specialist shops.
2. The nearby Medieval town of Shrewsbury and city Chester offering excellent shopping, cinemas and a race course.
