Magical views, wonderful walking, mountain biking, superbly placed for exploring mountains and coast with sandy beaches close by. Our architect designed annexe is the ideal base for touring south Snowdonia and the coast. It's a private cheerful space, ideal for small families, artists and nature lovers. Always warm, light and bright. The Annexe is the perfect all year round cosy retreat from a busy humdrum world.
Well equipped Annexe to a traditional hillside cottage in Snowdonia National Park, overlooking the Mawddach Estuary and Cadair Idris mountain range. South facing private patio and garden right outside. Easy access from the door to mountain and river trails for walks and mountain biking. Free Parking available on site. Please note that mobile phone coverage here is poor, but we have recently had a WiFi booster fitted and the internet signal in the Annexe is vastly improved. Calling out and receiving calls through Wi-Fi is easy if you have an appropriate app on your phone.
There is underfloor heating and a washing machine. There is NO tumble dryer but you can ask to use ours if needed.
PLEASE NOTE The stairs to the sleeping platform are fairly narrow and steep "paddle" stairs. Guests with young children should also note that the sleeping platform has rails and it is advised to sleep children downstairs.
There is a double bed in the sleeping space, a double bed setee in the lounge, and a simple fold out single futon, which can be placed up or downstairs. There is also a good folding campbed. It would be helpful to know if you need to use the Futon or bedsetee when you book. We also have a new travel cot with bassinet but NO infants bedding. Please note that as the space is effectively open plan, privacy can be compromised!
Private access to the the space via the public footpath which runs behind the house from the parking space on the drive. If arriving and it has been raining or is dark, please use the garden path and stay to the left of the main house, where you will find the Annexe entrance. The owner lives next door. Limited bike storage can be arranged. Own garden with views and seating. Parking space.
The house is accessed from a tarmaced lane which is well used and has plenty of passing places. The satnav runs out at the cattle grid and we are the next house on the hill up a drive. There is a wooden signpost on the lane with our house name on it Llechfraeth Uchaf. The road IS steep and if you are using public transport you will need us to arrange a lift for you with your luggage, unless it is very easily managed.
Interaction with guests
Owner generally available to offer advice and help if needed. The space has it's own private access, garden and patio.
We prefer you to not leave your pet "Home Alone" in case of accidents or damage, unless they are happy in their crate/cage and have access to drink/food.
Other things to note
