Dominique and her family are an incredibly classy group... and it resonated throughout the property and our stay. My husband and I stayed here with another couple for our 10th wedding anniversary and were thrilled with the location. A definite repeat stay next time we go to Paris! The cottage was adorable, close to the Metro, included modern amenities, quiet and within walking distance to everything you could need. Wish we could go back tomorrow!
My husband and I stayed here two years ago for a family trip with our teenage children. We enjoyed it so much that we came here again with another couple. The two-story cottage is so charming and comfortable! You cannot beat the location. Many destinations within walking distance plus tha subway is just one block away. The garden-like yard is so private and quiet that you forget you are in the heart of the city! The owners, Dominique and Jacques, are the most gracious people you will ever meet. We had an absolutely wonderful stay, AGAIN!!
We loved our stay at the delightful garden cottage. Our host/ hostess treated us like part of their family and extended a delightful welcome. Dominique gave us a two block tour of the area and all of her recommendations were excellent. Although our time in Paris was busy, the opportunities we had to enjoy some time in the garden with a great bottle of wine and some cheese and bread were a treat. You would never imagine the hustle and bustle of the city were beyond the garden walls. The cottage was comfortable and as pictured. We felt safe and enjoyed all the amenities of the property. Everything we could ask for was within a short walk. When the opportunity for a return visit comes up, we are hoping Dominique will allow us to once again stay with her in the garden cottage.
Cannot express how wonderful "The Little Cottage" is. It's located in center city and you first arrive to door on the busy street your a little cautious, you are given a code or can use the call button to be let in. Then you find yourself out of the hustle of the street, go through the courtyard and through the owners wooden gate.
From there the owner will meet you and take you out to the cottage. You come through Dominique's home and out to the backyard. The cottage is adorable and beautiful all at the same time. There was four of us and we had plenty of space, we even made dinner in one night. The attached patio extends the living space and quickly became a favorite place to have a glass of wine and make plans for the day.
You are in walking distance to great shopping, dining and the Eiffle tower.
For those traveling for the first time to France the location cannot be beat but not just because of its city location but the safety the cottage offers being tucked behind the owners home, it's like staying in your own private spot in Paris. I would love to stay there again.
Thank you to Dominique & family for being so kind, helpful and welcoming. You made our trip so wonderful!!!
We stayed in the little cottage for 1 week. It was everything we expected and more. Our host could not have been more gracious! Dominique gave us a personal tour and map of the neighborhood, helped us to purchase Metro tickets, arranged a taxi for our return to the airport, and more. We had everything we needed in the cottage and wish we could have stayed longer. It was the perfect oasis to return to every evening after our adventures. When we return to Paris someday, we hope to stay at the cottage again!
We loved our stay here! It was pricey but worth it. Our hosts, Dominique and Jacques, were welcoming and helpful. Their thoughtfulness was so touching. The cottage was safe/secure, quiet, clean, warm, classy and homey. We loved coming here at the end of busy tour days. There were so many nice restaurants to walk to. The convenience store across the street had the best freshly-squeezed orange juice we ever had. A metro station was very close by. Our daughters got so attached to this place.
