This is a cosy cottage for 2 in a quiet yet central location very close to both the centre of town as well as the quintessential cricket ground and beautiful river walk around the town walls.
The cottage is semi detached with one bedroom plus a single garage.
The living room has exposed beams, a gas fire, drop leaf dining table and chairs, TV and DVD player along with a selection of DVDs and books. A comprehensive guest information folder and a supply of tourist leaflets is also provided.
The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need for a complete self-catering break including an electric oven and gas hob, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, microwave, washing machine and a full set of crockery, pans and utensils.
The bedroom has a romantic feel with a four-poster bed and period dressing table. The bed will be made up ahead of your arrival. There is also a large built-in wardrobe along with a chest of drawers. A hairdryer is supplied.
The bathroom has a full-size bath with power shower over. Hand and bath towels are provided.
Outside there is a walled, courtyard garden with patio area and a selection of shrubs. Wooden patio table and chairs, barbecue and rotary washing line are provided.
The cottage also has its own secure garage which is available for guests use.
Pets are welcome, though no birds. Just around the corner is the quintessential cricket ground and playing field, perfect for dogs to have a good run. From here, take a walk around the town walls, along the river bank, also perfect for dog walking as it's away from traffic.
The cottage is perfect for those seeking a quiet break away from it all, for walking holidays and is perfectly situated to explore the east Kent coast. With 3 world class golf courses right on the doorstep it's absolute heaven for golfers and the town will truly come alive during the 202 Open Championship due to be held at Royal St. Georges.
Sandwich Bay is a leisurely 2 mile walk across Royal St. Georges and if you're feeling energetic you can walk along the beach all the way to Deal.
The centre of the town is literally 2 minutes walk and full of independent shops, pubs and eateries. It really is like taking a step back in time to a quieter pace of life.
Canterbury is just a 25 minute drive away for fantastic shopping, river tours and the stunning cathedral.
It's very easy to drive 20 minutes to Dover to hop on a ferry for a day trip over to France or Belgium or drive a little further for the Channel Tunnel.
The stunning sandy beaches of Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate are 30-45 minutes drive depending on which you choose - Broadstairs alone has 7 sandy bays to choose from!
If you fancy a day in London then hope on the high speed at Sandwich station and you can be at St. Pancras within 1 hour and 20 minutes.
