Modern style apartment located in the historic and noble Palazzo Filangeri di Cutò, a baroque building from the seventeenth century and location of the ancient Hotel Orientale.
Our apartment, only few steps away from the main train station of Palermo, is located at the first floor of this enchanting and impressing noble palace, named Palazzo Filangeri di Cutò, which has an astonishing courtyard with decorations, arches and a columned portico all around it; finally a majestic staircase that made its fortune during the years till now.
Our house is composed by two comfortable and well-finished rooms. The living area has an American-style high table, a kitchen along the wall and a balcony that overlooks on the streets of the old Palermo, offering scenes of locals quotidianity.
The resting area is made of a wide double bedroom with view on the internal court and a third single bed available to our guests. Thanks to the characteristic ceiling with exposed rocks, the bedroom benefits of a unique atmosphere, with a romantic and antique taste, that will make feel our guests as if they were staying in a middle age castle.
The bathroom is equipped with shower, and the apartment has been provided with all the comforts required to pamper our guests, such as free Wi-Fi and air conditioner (heating pumps for the mild Sicilian winter).
Going straight on Via Maqueda (north direction), only 500mt from the apartment, our guests can find Quattro Canti and Pretoria Fountain. Few steps away, behind Via Roma, there is the Kalsa neighborhood, the most ancient area of Palermo and beating heart of the city: alleys and squares, noble monuments and churches, clashing in harmony and contradiction with local market stalls, with their colors, aromas and flavors, including some of the city's best street food, and finally the city cultural soul of museums and theaters.
The central station is about 200mt by walk, and from there several options are available to get to the airport or to other Sicilian destinations.
