The apartment is our family holiday home and is located close to the centre of the village with shops, bars, restaurants and a bustling Sunday street market. Chorges is a historic village, half way between Gap and Embrun with easy access to both the high mountains of the Ecrins National Park, and the shores of Lac de Serre-Ponçon, a wonderful lake in the Southern Alps.
Located on the second floor, with a large south facing balcony and upper mezzanine area, the apartment is simply and tastefully decorated and enjoys views of the village and surrounding mountains. It is cool, light and airy in summer and warm and cozy in winter.
The apartment consists of:
An open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room including fully equipped fitted kitchen with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, electric kettle, cafetiere, toaster and a good selection of crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils and saucepans.
The dining area has a traditional log burning stove and a rustic mahogany table with benches set in front of sliding doors that open on to the balcony, where you will find a table and chairs for outdoor dining.
The living area contains a comfortable sofa, easy chairs and a music system. There is a full WiFi connection.
Two bedrooms: one with a double bed and fitted wardrobe and a second with twin beds and a fitted wardrobe. A wooden staircase leads up from the living area to a spacious mezzanine with Velux window and two further single beds.
Bathroom with with bath, overhead shower, WC, hand basin and a washing machine. There is also a separate additional WC.
Bed linen and tea towels are provided, please bring your own towels.
Outside there is an allocated parking space at the back of the apartment. To the front is a communal area for playing boules.
Non smokers only please and no pets.
