The neighbourhood overview
The flat is just a 6 minutes walk from the Monti district, one of the most attractive and eclectic, that is more like an island rising out of Rome’s center. Invisible walls seem to separate this from the adjacent neighborhoods that border its artsy and bohemian population. In this edge of the city you can find vintage clothes coming from London rather than Milan, and old-time craftspeople ply their trades in the streets. Monti is underground Rome, hidden in plain sight, within the city center and close to San Giovanni, Celio, Campitelli, Trevi, Pigna, and Esquilino districts. Also, you can reach the flat easily, Termini Station is just 10 minutes walk and the closest tube station is Cavour (on the B blue line) or Repubblica (on the A red line).
There also are a lot of bus stops in this area (like nr. 40 - fastest way to reach Vatican Museums), connecting the apartment to all the most well-known historical sites in the eternal city and, in a 15 minutes walk or about 10 minutes by transport links, you can easily reach Via Nazionale, Via del Corso, Piazza di Spagna or Via Veneto for a shopping walk. You can also visit Fontana di Trevi, Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica, the Colosseum and Fori Imperiali, or enjoy a cultural exhibition at Palazzo delle Esposizioni.
The area also has many modern and traditional restaurants, with a great variety of national or international cuisines.
Leonardo da Vinci Airport: 35 minutes by taxi or 60 minutes by Leonardo Express train
