Relax in a countryside setting, 500m from a large, safe, sandy beach.
The house sleeps 4/6 (one double room) and has a large garden, including a wildlife garden. Chill out and enjoy some beautiful walks, books from our library, a soak in the deep bath or cooking in the fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy a drink in a traditional village pub, visit the nearby harbour for crab fishing or get active with beach and sea activities.
Kids will enjoy garden games and beach equipment stored in the shed. Entertain them on rainy days with a selection of DVDs, toys, books and board games.
Also, suitable for a winter break. The underfloor, ground source heating system maintains a constant, comfortable temperature.
A great base from which to visit all the tourist activities of the east and south east of Ireland - Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow. Dublin is approx 1 hours drive away, an ideal day trip.

Just back from this nearly a week in this house and had to write a review. This house is outstanding as a holiday home rental. Due to very clever architecture, every room in this house is filled with incredible light so even on a dull Irish day it is bright and airy.
we have a 2 and a 4 year old and they were in their element.... between the football table, the massive drawer of kids DVDs, the shed full of toys - ( squirter guns a favourite!) and the little 'cubby' underneath the stairs which became their 'secret hideaway' for the duration, the toys and the fantastic garden complete with football net.
The photos do not do the house ANY justive ... was far better than we anticipated.
The kitchen is full of top end appliances and everything is thought of. Its an incredibly comfortable and relaxing house to stay in and could not recommend more highly. We will defintely rebook in the future. PS in terms of location the beach down the road is fantastic and goes on for 23 miles apparently!
Saw the house on the website and it looks great. Was even better when we got there. Toys, playroom and big safe back garden for the children and a shed full of more outdoor toys, they were happy out.
The house is lovely and bright and fully equipped for cooking - more than the bare minimum you usually find in some rentals. We even found cookie cutters and ice pop moulds for summer treats.
Upstairs - the playroom and library are great for young and old - something to interest all. Very big deep relaxing bath to ease the body.
The beach is a few mins walk and is lovely and sandy, great for castles and paddling. Lots to see and do in Gorey and nearby towns all a short drive from the house.
I saw this house on the website and it looked great. It was even better when we arrived. Clean and spacious, games room and DVDs for the children - big safe back garden and decking with outdoor toys.
The beach is a few minutes walk down the road and lovely and sandy. Gorey and lots of smaller towns are very close by car and there always seems to be something on in the Wexford area during the summer.
The house is fully equipped for washing and cooking meals, we even found cookie cutters and ice pop moulds for treats for the kids.
It's a wonderful, spacious house with excellent equipment.
Specially for Kids no whishes are left open.
But be careful when you travel with more adults. There is only one double bed. All other beds are single "youth"-beds where you can pull out a second mattress from the base. Not really suitable for a couple :-)
The area is quiet and wonderful.
Personally I would have liked to have given 4 1/2 stars instead of 4. The reason is a few minor things that we were missing, like a microwave, regular coffee machine. The clothes-drying rack was too small. It could not deal with 5 beach towels and swimsuits, but the laundry drys really well in the house.
The house itself is very spacious, the yard is very big, too . Lots of room for the kids to play and lots of toys as well.
The house is nice and warm even in cooler weather, and except what I already mentioned, well equipt.
The location is great, 5-10 minute walk to the beach, litte towns with great pubs in the area as well as bigger towns for shopping.
The Locals were very nice, friendly and helpful, in fact everyone in Ireland seemed to be that way.
If you want internet for your smartphone etc., your best bet is buying a simcard with mobile internet package from a local Irish provider. We used Tesco mobile ( which uses O2), which worked OK in the house and generally speaking most everywhere else.
The owners refunded the deposit promptly.
We would definitely consider staying here again in the future.
We had a really great short break on a surprisingly mild and pleasant February weekend. The photos of the house looked very appealing but staying there didn't disappoint. It is a spacious, bright and airy house, with a cool, uncluttered modern design. Our two children were very excited and quickly explored every nook of the house, enjoying the playroom particularly. Their parents had plenty of room to relax and the kitchen with its surprising abundance of utensils allowed for perfect self-catering. A microwave might have been handy as would child locks on the windows. At times the heat recovery system made the house a little too hot for our taste. But it did provide a very even and constant temperature which was welcome after a couple of hours spent on a breezy beach. The proximity to the beautiful beach of South Cahor/Old Bawn was also a plus.
All that and a spacious garden ensures that we will do our best to make it back for a longer stay.
The house is very spacious and cosy, decorated in high standard and great taste.
Layout of the house helped us to keep an eye on kids hanging mostly in the living room with plenty of toys and games (which we enjoyed as well).
Living room is connected to the patio and garden at the back what gives more space for kids to play. Upstairs is even more kids friendly - colours, toys, beds etc.
House is incredibly worm and dry thanks to the new heating and ventilation solutions and south facing huge windows.
Nice and quiet surroundings with 24 miles beach are perfect for picnic or walk. We even were lucky to see seal on the beach taking rest on a shore. We had a gorgeous relaxing time.
The house is situated 500m from a very nice sandy beach (South Beach) and 3km from the village of Ballygarrett. Cahore with its castle and pier is just a stone throw away.
Golf: Seafield Golf Course; Courtown Golf Club and Ballymoney Golf Course 15 min away by car.
