We had a wonderful holiday in this villa (July 2014) We were a party of 11 including three small children (four generations), Although the weather wasn’t as good for the second week, we did manage some sightseeing trips.
It was a lovely, spacious villa with all modern conveniences and very comfortable. The electric pool cover gave us great peace of mind when not in use especially with toddlers running about. However, we felt that both the indoor and outdoor staircases could do with hand rails fitted for the children and elderly.
The local Italian restaurant was very good and had spectacular sea views.
We really had a great time (with photos to prove it) and will definitely recommend this villa to family and friends who would like to visit the Lisbon area.
We stayed here for 2-weeks this summer (2013) and were really happy with the property. Our party consisted of 4 pensioners (70's), 5 in our 40's-50's and 1 child under 10 - and the villa suited all of our needs. It's very clean and minimalistic so no unnecessary clutter. The 4 main bedrooms are really large and the room with the kids bunk attached is immense. The garden is immaculate and the pool is a great size. The kitchen is well fitted and there is an additional fridge freezer in the dining room which I guess that everybody uses for drinks (as we did). The beach is a 15 minute walk or 60 second drive. The sands are clean, extensive and pretty quiet - perfect. It's not a lively resort-type area so no noise and just a few restaurants - so you need to make your own entertainment. There is a TV and DVDs but in 2-weeks we never turned it on once - preferring listening to music, swimming, playing and chatting. The Praia Del Rey resort area is immaculate - like stepping into a Disney village or Stepford Wives town. No litter, no noise, no anything - just prestine properties set against a dramatic coastline. The villa commands some great views and sunset was always a busy time for the photographers in our party. Internet access is free - but only works upstairs - it was a pretty strong signal and quick bandwidth allowing at least 5 of us to log in at any one time and not suffer. Supermarkets are not exactly close - but the one in Serra Del Rei is perfectly adequate and there is an 'emergency' store 2 minutes away for bread, milk and butter - it's pricey though so only for those last minute emergencies when you run out of milk!. Driving time - it's only an hour from Lisbon - although if you have an early morning departure like us (04:30) driving along winding, unlit roads with a morning sea fog can be terrifying - so leave longer to get back to the airport. Absolutely no complaints about the villa or area - it's stunning. Obidos is well worth a visit or two and we went as far as Tomar and Fatima. Look up Budha Eden - it's about 25 minutes away and another great day/half day out. The property manager - Carlos is really friendly and helpful - we had a couple of lightbulb swaps that were done quickly. The only thing to be mindful of is the 5th seperate bedroom (bunk room - not connected to master suite). It is only for kids really and doesn't have an en-suite. For kids though it's not an issue at all but I don't think an adult would want it.
We were 7 adults and six children up to 9 years old. This is the best villa we have rented. There was plenty of space and chairs to eat and relax. The children loved the pool and the garden. The sandy beach was beautiful and never crowded. There was only a green flag for swimming twice but the children enjoyed body boarding in the shallows and there are always life guards on duty.
We were two families (four adults and four kids) with high expectations looking for a high standard villa. This was spot on! Everything from the large pool area to the spacious living rooms to the lovely terrace on the second floor with sun-set view over the ocean was perfect! The beach is only a five min. walk and the golf course at the resort is challenging.
If you have the money and is looking for a hassel-free, relaxing and confortable stay, you don´t need to look any further.

Auto allerdings unbedingt erforderlich.
