Amazing house in the French countryside
We stayed here for a week at the end of October, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable holidays that we've ever had. We had planned on having a nice quiet relaxing week away, but there was just so much to do that we couldn't stay put. Some of the highlights of the trip included:
L'Art Glacier - ice-cream restaurant nearby
Gorges du Verdon - spectacular scenery
Day trip to Cassis - charming village by the sea (boat trip was nice too)
There are also some really worthwhile walks to do from the house:
Walk to the golf club (<10mins), have lunch outside and admire the scenery as you sip on a local wine.
Walk to Pierrevert (25mins depending on which route you take). It was nice to ramble around the village, and have a coffee in the small café/bar/shop (can't remember the name offhand) in the centre of the village.
Walk to Montfuron: This walk will take 45 mins to over an hour, depending on your level of fitness. It's an uphill climb, but you are rewarded with great views of the surrounding countryside. We ate at Chez Eric in Montfuron one evening and were really satisfied with the meal and wine.
The house itself is like new - it has all mods cons, and everything is kept clean and very well maintained. The beds were really comfortable and the shutters gave us pitch dark rooms, which meant that we slept like logs each night.
I will definitely return here in the next year or two, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody. Thanks again!
Perfect house for family holiday
This house provided an excellent base from which to explore the beautiful Luberon region. The property itself is large, spotlessly clean, with excellent facilities for cooking, sleeping and relaxing.
I would highly recommend this villa.
Amazing holiday in Provence
Really fabulous property in such a beautiful part of France. Had a great time.
Will be back
Beautiful, spacious Villa, incredibly well equipped and a great location to explore the region.
Dealing with Amelia was an absolute pleasure - would highly recommend a stay here.
Thank you for your review. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay.
Beautiful house in beautiful location
Spotlessly clean, spacious, and had everything that we could have asked for in a fantastic location. We stayed here for a week last summer and used this house as a base for touring the Luberon region.
We will definitely return to explore further afield and we aim to stay here again.
Thank you for your review. We are delighted you enjoyed your holiday & found the house comfortable.
Lovely, comfortable, perfectly kept house
We spent a wonderful week in Luberon, Provence, in this lovely, comfortable, perfectly kept house! The house was very neat and tidy and is located in the vicinity of a golf course with a wonderful view and a great restaurant, with super friendly staff. The shared pool is a plus - not too crowded. We hope to come back one day!
Thank you for your review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your holiday in Provence & that you found the house comfortable.
Our luxurious villa is located only 3 minutes drive from the picturesque village of Pierrevert in the Luberon National Park.
Literally next door is the 18 hole Golf du Luberon golf course which also boasts a highly recommended restaurant.
Luberon vine growers produce wines of exceptional quality. There are a number of wineries within a few minutes drive that must be sampled by wine lovers.
Manosque is the largest town in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region and lies just 7km Northeast of the property. It has large supermarkets, fine restaurants, a Saturday market and an interesting old quarter.
The Lac des Vannades has a sailing school, windsurfing and swimming.
The beautiful city of Aix-en-Provence lies 40km to the south. It is often known as the city of a thousand fountains. This coupled with its historical architecture and famous cafés it's well worth a visit especially on Saturday (market day).
Fourcalquier (Monday) & Lourmarin (Friday) are also famous for their markets as well as being typical provencal towns.
The Gorge du Verdon is one of the deepest and most beautiful river canyons in Europe. It is a scenic 1 hour drive away and rock climbing, hiking, fly fishing, canoeing, paragliding, rafting, climbing and of course canyoning are just an example of the sports enjoyed here.
