I use this Condo when I want to spend time in Waikiki so I want it nice! Great location away from the hustle and bustle of people, cars and buses. Well almost, it is Waikiki after all! Located on Lemon Road, a quiet one way street one street mauka (towards the mountains) from Kalakaua and Waikiki Beach. Lemon Road is just one block long so doesn't get much noisy buses!
One block from Kapiolani park, the zoo, the aquarium and Waikiki Shell (for concerts). 'Sunset on the Beach' offers free movies on a big screen TV on the sand just one and half block from this Condo. Secure building with entry card that only allows residents to access their floor from the elevator. Only six apartments per floor.

Coin laundry located in parking area. And yes, there is a parking stall assigned specifically for this Condo and it is FREE with the rental. Free parking is a rarity in Waikiki!
No smoking allowed. This condo doesn't have a private lanai however there is small lanai on 9th floor with beautiful blue Pacific Views where you can enjoy the ocean view or read.

This condo at Tradewinds Plaza feels like a HOME away from HOME and not like a hotel.

I like to boogie board at the wall, just 1/2 block away where no surfboards are allowed. The location of this condo is terrific because it has easy access off of the freeway and down Kapahulu. You don't have to go into the heart of Waikiki with all the traffic to get to it.
The condo feels like a home and not a hotel. It is a fairly small building with some full time occupants. I hardly ever see anyone on the elevator. The building is well maintained and Lemon Road is a small one lane street with no city bus noise!

Loved that Gina made arrangements that fit our arrival time to get us the keys. Fantastic that we were only a block away from the beach and had chairs and an umbrella to use. Clean and made a great vacation keeping us out of the main hustle and bustle of the center of Waikiki. Lots of places within walking distance and loved that when we were on the street outside we could hear the elephants at the zoo when they made there trumpet noise. Definitely worth the money. Will stay again whenever we return for vacation.
This condo was perfect for our stay in Waikiki. It's small, but clean and has everything you need (kitchen, bathroom, bed, beach accessories and lots of clean towels and dishes...). Best of all, its super close to the beach! Gina was very accommodating and quick to reply to any questions or concerns. Thanks Gina!
For those who intend to stay and explore Waikiki and the island of Oahu at an affordable price, we recommend the unit with no second thoughts. It is small, but nice. It could be cleaner (we had to do some cleaning ourselves when we checked in), but nothing that could not be done by anyone.
The location is very good and the assigned parking is a PLUS, PLUS !!!
For someone going for the first time to Waikiki/Oahu, the studio is a great rent.
We go to Hawaii every year (sometimes twice / three times a year) as we love there and have family living on Oahu.
The building, although old, is very well kept and quiet (a big PLUS). You can walk to anywhere, from Diamond Head all the way to Ala Moana with easy. You do not need to spend a small fortune in order to find good accommodation in Waikiki. This place is just fine !!!
After many years travelling to Oahu, with many stays in Honolulu/Waikiki, this unit ranks # 4.
We will have it in mind for future returns, specially if the owner improves in the cleaning of the unit prior to check-in.

Gina's clean and nicely-decorated condo was perfect for our needs and just as was described and pictured. Its location just a block from Waikiki beach and Kapiolani Park put us within walking distance of a number of activities as well as close to the bus stops we needed to travel around Honolulu. The reserved parking spot enabled us to rent a car for visits to other parts of Oahu. Security was excellent. Gina's instructions for initial access worked perfectly as did the kitchen appliances. She also quickly responded to the few texts we sent her. We also took full advantage of the beach chairs, umbrella, and other beach equipment that was provided. Thank you, Gina! We hope to return and will certainly recommend your place to our friends.

Great location. The condo was small but ok for 2 people. We enjoyed our 2 weeks there and hope to come back in the future.
We rented a car for 2 weeks and the parking at the condo was a bonus. And having the washing and dryer facilities on the property was also helpful. The property was very clean and well maintained. We also enjoyed all the local restaurants and
attractions. We will and have recommended it to friends and relatives.
