About Linda Reed ... Walnut Avenue Rental
After a long career as a whole lumber trader (buying and selling posts and beams...that's trade talk for 4x4 & wider and 6x6 & wider) I have recently gotten my real estate license and signed on with Keller Williams Realty. I'm having great fun learning the trade and meeting wonderful new friends. In 2014 my business partner in Manners Simply (yup, we teach etiquette and specialized in dining skills) wrote an award-winning book "Which Fork Do I Use? Confident and Comfortable Dining." We have been teaching for over 20 years and when we started the book we didn't know it would take us 4-1/2 years to complete. It's highly illustrated and it took a long time working with our graphic artist to "get it right." For hobbies, I love to entertain and have parties, to grow pretty flowers, decorate cakes and bake cookies!

Why Linda Reed ... Walnut Avenue Rental chose Eugene
This house has seen guests from all over the world. We have had guests from as far away as Australia and England. And that was before we entertained the idea of renting it out! I've loved it from the first day I saw it and hope you will too. It's a perfect setting for family reunions, friends arriving for Duck football game or UO graduation.
What makes this House unique
When we first moved in my daughter was 8 years old. She wanted a laundry shoot. My husband wanted a front porch and I wanted lots of windows. And it had to be large enough to have my mother move in with us as she aged. There is something wonderful about all the built-in cabinets and storage. The crown moldings and faux painted walls by artist Debra Wade add warmth and interest to this old house. The backyard is a wonderful place to have a bbq in the peace and quiet of the neighborhood and private yard. Just a piece of local information...River Road at the end of the street is the old Hwy 99 from Portland to California and thus, all the old houses in this neighborhood.

Lovely Home Filled with the Amenities and More
We had a quick stay at this home and wish we had had more time to enjoy the history noted throughout the house as well as the gorgeous garden. This home was in a perfect location from all that we wanted to do in Eugene. Linda thought of EVERY detail one would need when staying away from home including some yummy wine and fabulous banana bread.
Our group enjoyed the house immensely. It feels just like home, comfie beds, very clean, and well stocked with everything you need. The owner is very thoughtful. She gifted us with wine and a fruit basket. I think we also emptied her candy bowls. Thank you so much Linda!
You are the best guests ever! Love having you here...and Grandmother Barbara (God rest her soul) loves that her candy dishes are getting a workout!
See you next year.
This house is a wonderful step back into a more charming era. It is clean and tidy and decorated with love. The care given to every detail is very evident. We were 6 adults and two children and the bedrooms are perfect. The kitchen though on the small side is updated with new appliances and has every convenience you could possibly ask for. There is plenty of room to gather together or spread out for some quiet alone time. The yard is a showcase of roses, peonies, lavender and many more beautiful plants. The front porch is the ideal place for a quiet cup of coffee in the morning. The host is amazingly friendly, helpful, responsive and a pleasure to talk with. The only downside to this property is how hard it was to leave!! We highly recommend this wonderful home.
Nancy and family,
It was great fun to be a part of your celebration! Come back again.
Beautiful home, thoughtful owner.
The home slept 8 comfortably. During our stay, we hosted another group staying at a separate location for two dinners and two game nights. The house was comfortable with tweny of us eating and playing games. Beautiful outside area in the back where we barbequed. The owner has provided a well stocked pantry and has an abundance of various cooking and serving utensils, dishes etc.
It was nice to meet you and host your team!

The backyard was gorgeous and the perfect setting for a get together of friends from all over the US to relax and catch up! Great place and well appointed. We would definitely stay again and our host was so very accommodating. Thank you! JT
