Beautiful, well-equipped cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is in a beautiful location, with plenty of places to go close by. We stayed for a weekend with six adults and there was plenty of space. The cottage was cosy, especially with the wood burner on, and well-equipped. The third bedroom is small, but adequate, with two full-sized single beds. The other bedrooms are spacious, with good storage. We love this area of the country and visited Brimham Rocks and Fountains Abbey as well as eating in two local pubs. I think we'll be back!

Beautiful vacation area!

  • 4 of 5

We just spent a wonderful week at Briardene. The location is absolutely perfect, with tearooms, pubs, grocery shopping and shops within easy walking distance. Bewerley and Pateley Bridge are home to many of England's wonderful footpaths, some flat along the river, and some that lead up onto the moor above, with gorgeous views. Lots of interesting history to learn about. The next-door neighbor, Paul, is absolutely delightful, and a great source of information. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend Rachel's Tearoom. The cottage itself was completely serviceable, although older people should be aware that the stairs are steep. Mike & Jan Olympia, Washington, USA

A superd Cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is very well equipped - all furnishings, fittings etc in good condition and of good quality. The weather was cold but the cottage was always warm and we had no need to light the stove. We were three generations, 4 adults and 2 children and the accommodation was exactly right for such a group.

Booking was easy and post booking communication was excellent. Pateley Bridge and surrounding areas are stuffed with things to do - wet or dry. Walks, museums, massive Cathedrals and tiny churches/chapels and of course the magnificent Yorkshire Dales.
