2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa with modern kitchen and Italian tiled en suite bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with laundry facilities, dishwasher, microwave, hob and oven. It has its own pool with sun deck, outside covered lounge and al fresco dining area. The pool area/garden is enclosed for complete privacy. The master bedroom has a king size bed and opens directly onto the pool area. The second bedroom has a double and single bed. There is also a pull out sofa bed. Maid service is included. Wireless internet is provided and both bedrooms and kitchen/lounge area are air conditioned. Access is also provided to the nearby Beach House with its pool and restaurant and bar.

Great villa in a superb location

The villa is just as described. The interior is spacious with a well appointed kitchen and 2 good sized bedrooms. The outside lounge was a great space to lounge about in and the pool was great to cool off in. The location, one block back from the beach was nice and quiet but with all the amenities of Holetown on your doorstep. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the villa to friends and family and will definitely be back.

Comfortable villa, great location and fabulous customer service

We booked the Villa for a last minute holiday and it was a great choice. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and pleasant,private garden with a plunge pool. Very close to a supermarket and a good range of shops and restaurants. Bus stops very close so easy to get around the island (though worth hiring a car for a day or two to go inland). A real bonus was access to the nearby beach club which has a decent pool, sunbeds and direct access to the beach with lovely swimming and some snorkeling opportunities.

Sarah, the Manager, greeted us on arrival and was fantastically helpful with any queries or help we needed. Jackie, the cleaner comes twice a week and does a great job very unobtrusively. A gardener and pool cleaner also come regularly.

Would highly recommend for a couple or small family.

Tranquil Retreat

This villa is in a wonderful location, situated in a residential area, close to the supermarket and a wide range of fabulous restaurants, bars and varied retail outlets. The beach is less than 5 mins walk and the bus route providing inexpensive and regular routes around the island, is a 2 min walk away. The off road secure parking is ideal. Air con was effective and bed very comfortable so we enjoyed quality sleep!

The house has been thoughtfully presented in terms of providing spacious accommodation with comfortable furnishings. The outdoor living is fabulous with a secluded swimming pool and deck and lovely outdoor patio providing welcome shade. For those wishing to self cater, the kitchen is very well equipped (a new set of non stick pans would be helpful) and the BBQ was certainly well used during our stay! The accommodation was spotless and Jackie, the housekeeper provided mid stay service to change beds, towels etc. Sarah, the local property manager was very helpful and contacted us during our stay to check that we had everything we needed. The swimming pool is regularly maintained although with such an unobtrusive service, we were hardly aware of this being done.

We would certainly recommend this accommodation, particularly to those who don't wish to hire a car. Thanks Steve, we had a fabulous holiday.

A great location for your stay on the West coast. December 2015.

We thoroughly enjoyed our ten day, pre-Christmas holiday in Holetown.

The villa is situated within a five minute walk of the supermarket and other shops and although we hired a car (doorless and roofless mini moke...amazing fun) you can dot around on the regular buses. Bit sweaty and cramped for our liking, but an experience.

The villa itself is well cared for by Jackie the cleaner, who we met several times and the gardens were tended too. Sarah meets you at the property and will give you a run down of all the essentials.

The bedrooms are spacious and the master particularly light and with a large en-suite shower room.

The kitchen was well equipped with a nice big fridge and freezer for all the essentials. Just a note on food. It's an island(shock horror) so everything is imported and pricey. We found on several occasions that it is as 'cheap' to eat out but it was nice sometimes to have an evening in if we had been out all day.

Our tip would be to bring some items with you.

Not pizza, but tea, coffee and any other favorite bits you like to nibble. Crisps, chocolate and biscuits seem particularly expensive so shove a few packs in your luggage.

As a guide a 4 pint bottle of semi skimmed milk worked out around £4.75 (getting $1.50 american to sterling). A loaf of bread was around £2.50. Bar of dairy milk( if you felt the urge) was around a fiver. Mosquito machines were in the villa and we just bought a refill from the supermarket, but again bring with you if you attract them. They were even biting the locals when we were there.

Air con worked well and we did need it, but the ceiling fan in the master kept us cool without noise and the drying effect air con has while you are asleep.

The furniture on the covered veranda was comfy and we used it more than the indoor area which wasn't as comfortable for us, but would be fine if you felt the need to watch tv. There is a dvd player too.

Beaches are within a 5-10 minute stroll and there are the obligatory jet ski salesmen who want to take you out, or on a glass bottom boat, but they are polite enough and leave you if you're not interested.

All the beaches we visited were lovely and all had bars and restaurants for lunch if you wanted it.Banks beer is the local brew and to be recommended.

Would we recommend to friends and stay again?

Yes, absolutely.

The position was ideal for the Platinum coast and it had everything we needed for our stay there. It was clean, equipped well and the pool was great.

Great location

We stayed in Beachcomber for two weeks and enjoyed our holiday very much.

The villa is as described - very comfortably furnished, well equipped, clean and spacious. Especially good were the master bedroom and en suite - very spacious and comfortable.

The outside area was great - places to eat in the shade, sun beds, well maintained pool area and a very comfortable sofa and chairs area for just relaxing outside.

Beachcomber is incredibly well situated - 5 mins from supermarket, shops, restaurants, beach and bus stop and 10 mins (max) from Limegrove. There is no need at all to hire a car.

We were very grateful to be allowed to stay a few extra hours on the day of our departure - made the last day a lot more relaxing. The property manager did arrange a taxi to take us to the airport.

The only disappointment is one to do with communications. We had absolute minimal communication from the owner - that's fine if that's how he wants to manage the property and as we are experienced travellers not a big problem. However, some would be useful e.g. there were no instructions on how to find the property - no numbers just house names and trying to find the house at night was tricky - especially as the property manager had parked in front of the sign! No instructions for anything. When we arrived the manger was in a rush to welcome somebody else and on our last day we had no contact from the property manager as to locking up and leaving the keys. I had to ring her - taxi waiting - to find out. She'd been too busy to get in touch!

Unfortunately the neighbours were renovating their house whilst we were staying so there was a constant noise of drilling etc.. all day and every day, made especially worse when the other neighbour decided to use the most noisy of trimmers. Not the owner's fault but some communication about the renovations would have be nice ( long term works - it appeared). We've stayed in villas before and I always feel that the personal touch from either the owner or manager ( preferably both) very welcome and does add to the holiday experience.

Overall Beachcomber is a good option for those who wish to be in the heart of a Holetown.

A little bit of heaven

The villa is as advertised and is well maintained. We enjoyed our mornings and early evenings sitting in the outside seating area enjoying the pool. The villa is kept in tip top condition by the lovely Jackie. The villa is in a quiet residential area and quiet at night and in the mornings. We enjoyed early evenings watching the bats flying over the villa. We have stayed several times in Barbados and the villa is in a fantastic area, just behind the super centre where you can shop for groceries and holiday souvenirs. Across the road is a fantastic beach bar and restaurant where you will be well looked after by the friendliest staff on the island, Trudy, Dave, Pearson and the latest member Steve. The food in the restaurant is excellent and you can also enjoy snacks at the bar. Trinny manages the loungers on the beach if you fancy a change and also has a small shop a bit like an Aladdin's cave. A short walk will take you to the oldest church in Holetown and behind this you will find the Folkstone Marine Park which has seen a major improvement since our last visit to the island last year. Rum shacks are a must to visit and across the road from the Marine Park, check out Coxie's bar. He makes the best rum punch on the island. There are many bars and restaurants near to the villa, One Love Bar on first street is another where you will receive a friendly welcome. We ate at the Indian Restaurant on second street and would recommend this as truly excellent if you are missing a curry. Sea Catz is a fish bar and again if you want to have cod, chips and mushy peas is the place to go. We went again at night and although a little pricey, the food and service worth it. Local places to try are Nancy's, Marshalls' and Chris's Bar on a Friday for the excellent ribs. Any taxi will take you there. There are too many attractions locally to tell you about, try it and see. We enjoyed it so much, we have already checked out dates for next year. If you are unfamiliar with Barbados, Sarah or Jackie can fill you in on places to eat and visit. We didn't hire a car as the local buses can take you all round the island for $2 each trip. All in all, the best villa we have stayed in and we look forward to revisiting again and again.

Newly renovated 2 bedroom 2 bathroom villa with own pool in Holetown Barbados.

Beachcomber is located less than five minutes from the beautiful white beaches of Barbados' 'platinum' west coast. Nearby there are several top class restaurants of various styles including French, Italian, Indian, Thai, Sushi. Several bars are in the famous second street including a piano bar. The shopping ranges from small boutiques, art galleries and local craft to the new Lime Grove development with its designer shops and cafes. There is also a supermarket and a gourmet food shop. There are tennis courts close by and two championship golf courses, Sandy Lane and Royal Wesmorland a few minutes drive away. Sailing, water skiing, scuba diving and jet ski hire are available nearby.
