The apartment is located in the heart of Bologna, in a very quiet environment. E 'equipped with every comfort and cared for every furnishing. The attic is on two floors and is located on the second floor of a historic building.
The new roof, all wood, giving it a warm and welcoming.
The overlooking the beautiful courtyard, very quiet, and a lovely terrace offers a view over the rooftops and the hills of Bologna. The kitchen is equipped with all comforts: oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher and washing machine, electric kettle and toaster. In the bedroom on the upper floor there are a double bed and a wardrobe. From the window of the bedroom leads to a terrace that overlooks slotted a nice view over the rooftops and the hills of Bologna.
Context: Ten minutes from the famous Piazza Maggiore and the Two Towers, the apartment is in a position to fully enjoy the city. Bologna is the city that has the largest medieval center of Italy, boasts the oldest university in the world and is famous for its upbeat atmosphere and enjoyable. It is located 1 hour from Florence, Milan, Venice, Verona, Modena (the city of Ferrari) and Ravenna; is 2 and a half hours from Rome. It is also close to the famous Adriatic coast, sea and fun place and the Corno alle Scale, renowned ski resort.
This was a great little apartment for my husband and I to use as a home base while exploring Bologna. Laura is a very helpful host providing recommendations, securing a cab for us when we departed and even meeting us early for check in when our plans changed at the last minute. The apartment is very close to the center of Bologna and gives you a nice place to relax during siesta hour when you've had too much delicious food! We had breakfast on the balcony a few mornings and the kitchen is nicely equipped if you do choose to cook. The neighborhood is quiet and we were really glad to have such a clean and comfortable apartment in the heart of the city.
We stayed here for 4 nights in July. The apartment was as described and perfect for us. It was spacious enough, clean and functional for all needs. We could easily have made meals there but as the food was so good generally we ate out. The apartment is really quiet, no noise from the road. Good small supermarket up the road and bread shop/pasta shop/cafes etc all easy distance. The air conditioning in the bedroom was essential as it was very hot even by Bologna standards. It is a good location for all sights, restaurants etc. The train station is a bus ride away but that is very easy. We went to Ferrara for a day and you can easily get to Florence or Padua etc. Laura is the perfect owner, totally helpful and informative and quick responses to any questions. Would highly recommend. Thanks Laura!
Loved the location, The apartment had everything we needed, safe, and clean. Highly recommend the unit.
We loved staying in this apartment for 11 nights which we found was very convenient to get to the centre of Bologna and it had all the services we needed very near and within walking distance. The view from the attic bedroom with its small terrace was very pleasant and we enjoyed having our morning coffee and evening drink on the terrace. We found the apartment had all that we needed but have to say that a mirror in the bedroom would be nice as there was only the mirror in the bathroom. We didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment as Bologna and its surroundings has a lot to offer so we were out and about but it was nice to come back to after a long day out and although it is situated on a busy road once in the apartment you would not be aware of this.
The apt is everything wonderful that you might read about.
The house is very clean and quiet.
From the bedroom terrace you can enjoy a pleasant view over the hills of bologna;
it is very pleasant to have breakfast there.
Perfect location: it is close to all the most important places of interest.
Restaurants and sights are all in walking distance of this apt.
This beautiful apartment is bright; well equipped kitchen, comfortable and quiet bedroom.
Laura is at your service when you need her and is amiable and accommodating.
It was necessary to check out a little late and she was very helpful indeed.
We don't believe there could have been anything else in the apt that we would need.
Don't hesitate to stay there. A good night sleep in a romantic attic is always welcome!
My husband and I stayed in this apartment for 3 nights. The location is great - within easy walking distance of the historical center of Bologna, and the apartment itself is very cute - on 2 levels, with the bedroom upstairs. Laura was easy to contact via e-mail, and helpful in answering all questions. We did not meet Laura during our stay. We were met by her associate Susy, who let us in and gave us the keys. Unfortunately, it seems Susy has been in charge of cleaning while Laura is not in Bologna. While the overall surfaces were clean (i.e. the kitchen, floors, etc), there are some things that I don't think had been cleaned in a long time. The radiators were very dusty, as was the shelf in the bathroom and the top of the doors/windows and air conditioner. Also, the exhaust hood in the kitchen was greasy, and the bathroom tiles needed to be cleaned - the grout was black and moldy. While the sheets on the bed seemed to be clean, the mattress cover was dirty and stained with hair on it. I reported these issues to Laura, and to her credit, she sent Susy over right away to clean up. Susy did clean up some of the dust, but the bed was left the way it was, and I don't think she really could have cleaned up the bathroom while we were there, as it would have taken a long time to do. I do appreciate Laura's prompt attention to our concerns, and it does seem from other reviews that when Laura is present in Bologna, the apartment is clean. Unfortunately, it seems that leaving it in the hands of someone else means that standards suffer. We did enjoy Bologna, and Laura's customer service was excellent, but due to the lack of cleanliness, we would not stay in this apartment again.
The apartment is located in the historic center of Bologna, a few steps from Piazza Maggiore heart of the city where you can admire the church of San Petronio, Palazzo D'Accursio inside which is the Museo Morandi, the municipal collections of art, Palazzo Re Enzo and the Civic Museum, then Neptune Square with the beautiful fountain by Giambologna and the former Sala Borsa now headquarters of a large library of multimedia information; not far from the square you can see the two towers dating back to the 1100 landmark. Intertwine around a host of features narrow streets with spice markets, pubs, trendy bars, shops and local historians.
