About Nancy Welling
I have been a local for over 20 years and am an outdoor enthusiast. I'm always happy to give suggestions for local hiking and biking trails, restaurants and dining, local events and our local ski resorts, rafting, boating and golfing. Whether you're spending a shorter 2 day stay or an extended stay, the north shore and west shore have so much to offer for anyone traveling to the area.
Why Nancy Welling chose Sunnyside
Our cabin is situated in the desirable Tahoe Park neighborhood. It's a quaint neighborhood and only a few blocks from the lake. Our guests will have use of Tahoe Park Beach Association which is a gated lake front property that has 2 piers, swimming area with a platform to swim to, bbqs, grass and pebble beach as well as bocce ball courts, volleyball, horse shoes and a children's play structure with swings and a slide. The cabin has a private enclosed yard with an expansive deck with hot tub, bbq and table. There's nice sun exposure on the deck. The log cabin also has an open floor plan that is very comfortable, clean and offers modern amenities with a nice mountain log siding.

Very comfortable cabin in beautiful location.
We had a great stay at this lovely home. Everything worked perfectly (including the WiFi which was the best of any house we have stayed in Tahoe). Hot tub and fire place were great and house had everything we needed! We will definitely go back.
Thanks for your review Ella! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and found the cabin to have everything that you needed. We are happy to have you back again!
Beautiful home and great location!
We stayed here for a couple nights in March for a ski/snowshoeing vacation. The location is great for getting to Squaw/Alpine meadows and is very close to downtown Tahoe City for shopping. The house has a lovely fireplace, hottub, kitchen, and bathroom.
Perfect Tahoe cabine for 4/5 people
Very nice and comfortable cabine. We really enjoyed the steam shower and the jacuzzi!
We're glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to hearing from you again!
I could not recommend this place more! It was my first time in Tahoe and Nancy's cabin couldn't have been more perfect. It's close to many coffee shops, restaurants, markets but far enough away you don't hear the hustle and bustle of the town. The neighborhood was quiet and perfect for our family. The hot tub was an added plus! We spent most of our time on the patio, grilling and hot-tubbing. Having the full kitchen with everything you needed to cook with was a huge plus! Would 10/10 recommend this place. We had a fabulous time and will definitely return to this cabin when coming back to Tahoe.
Our adult family of 5 stayed here over Christmas and what a delight it was! We enjoyed every detail of the cabin: the luxurious shower, the delightful hot tub (that heats up really quickly!), the comfy beds, the gorgeous stone fireplace, the modern kitchen that had everything we needed to cook, the location in the woods. I can't say enough about how delightful this place is. It looks rustic on the outside, and that's part of the charm, but it is tastefully modern on the inside with the small space completely optimized so that we never felt crowded, even in the kitchen which is always a point of contention in our family. My husband and I are looking to downsize and if I could clone this cabin exactly as it is to live in forever, I'd be content! The location is absolutely prime, too, since you're within an easy drive to lots of different ski and hiking destinations but it's in a very quiet and peaceful location. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. The price is completely fair, too, considering all that the owners provide (the hot tub alone must cost a fortune to heat). Nancy thoughtfully left us chocolates and a bottle of wine and the house was well-stocked with soap, shampoo, paper towels, wood for the fireplace, etc. Absolutely a gem!
Our security deposit was also promptly returned and the owners were was easy to contact and replied quickly to any questions we had.
Nice cabin in food location
Nice overall.Comfortable, small space (2Br/1ba) for small family. Has everything you need including jetted hot tub. We stayed over New Years. Kitchen and bath are updated; however, water pressure is low and appliances are loud (laundry, dishwasher). Owner is responsive.
Our rental is within 10 minutes to major ski resorts for the winter and a short walk to the lake and beach association for summer use. The bike path is accessible down the street and boasts miles along the lake and river for leisure biking. Two miles away is downtown Tahoe City for wonderful shops, dinning and beach at Common's Beach. Enjoy the summer music series and farmer's market Thursdays in the summer.
