Welcome to our cabin! We love being immersed in nature in the Valle Escondido mid-way between Taos (20 minutes) and Angel Fire (15 minutes), and think you will too.
Our Cabin has 2 Bedrooms:
The romantic master suite has a queen-sized bed, wood kiva fireplace and sliding glass door which leads to the outdoor patio. It also has ample shelving and closet space along with a full private bathroom.
The guest bedroom has its own queen-sized bed and an attached bathroom which has an additional door for access from the main part of the Cabin. The bedroom's large windows wrap a comfy reading nook which also makes a great spot for afternoon naps :) A large closet and dresser provide plenty of storage space.
The living room has 20’ ceilings and a wall of windows facing the Sangre de Cristo mountains that provides fantastic sunset views and begs for stargazing. One of the sofas opens to a sleeper, allowing extra sleeping accommodations for 2. The living room's large wood fireplace stands by to warm you up on chilly nights.
The kitchen is cozy and has plenty of shelf space to keep you from having to make too many trips to town for supplies. It comes with plenty of dishes, silverware, pots and pans and all things needed for cooking.
Outside there are 2 decks to entertain and the property backs up to National Forest that stretches for literal miles with hiking trails right out the back door (just follow the cairns!).
The Cabin has central heat, comes with a washer and dryer and is on a well that has the sweetest water we've ever tasted.
Pets are welcome.
Gas, electric, water and internet are included. We have a flat screen, dvd player and stereo in the living room, and have enjoyed many movie nights. Wood is available at local grocery and hardware stores for our 2 fireplaces.
We have high speed fiber optic WIFI. Most Cell phone providers have a WIFI cell phone calling option built into most phones (it is in the settings on a cell phone), it is the only way to make calls.
The driveway is quite steep at the top and can be a bit of an adventure, we also have a few stairs to get to the cabin level, we love this because we feel really elevated.
