Why Alexandra Adamson chose New Town
This is our newest apartment and we think we have ticked every box again. Historically important ( 1840's ) - beautifully refurbished it has the very best of furnishings, linen and crockery. If you love velvets, chandeliers, antique furniture and the highest quality crystal, you will feel right at home. The location is city centre, yet quietly tucked away in one of Edinburgh's historic lanes. Surrounded by the very best eateries and independent shops and the city/tram stop a moment away - getting to and from the apartment couldn't be easier. Walk to everything from the apartment and return to the peace and quiet. On inclement weather days, you will be glad you have a beautiful place to chill till it blows over - with the Omni Centre and Playhouse Theatre visible from the doorstep, the location just can't be beaten!
What makes this Apartment unique
We love this house because it retains all the elements of historic living that we adore. Living in this house reminds you of a bygone era, where just outside, horses were stabled and where the 'better off' residents of Edinburgh lived and worked. When we travel we like to experience the very best properties at a reasonable cost and we knew we had captured everything we love about period property when we acquired it.

I hope to come back
It was a pleasure to stay in this pristine and comfortable home.
This is a great spot! The location is close to every kind of transportation. The flat itself has everything a traveler could need. It's clean, well appointed, comfortable(the bed!), the owner is really concerned about every detail. Plus, Alexandra wants to know if you need anything! There are plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap. She supplies dishwasher soap, laundry soap, coffee, tea, creamer and sugar. I totally recommend this lovely place to anyone visiting Edinburgh! Feel free to ask for suggestions for meals. We loved Rollo, Mamma Roma, plus people told us there was a great place for Indian food nearby.
Thanks for reviewing!
Oh, What A Lovely Experience
This is the sort of apartment that makes you wonder why you bother with 4-5 star hotels. You’ve got it all — not just the tasteful furniture and practical kitchen, but the general ‘feel’ of the place. It breathes quality, comfort and grace. As for convenience, there are several good cafes within five minutes stroll, and you can walk easily to Edinburgh’s central attractions. And we haven’t said a word about friendly, charming, helpful Alexandra, who made us feel so welcome, and later made sure we were comfortable. Can’t think why you’d want to stay anywhere else!
Beautiful apartment, easy walk to attractions. Nice little extras. Good communication. Would definently recommend and book again. Thank you so much Alexandria for sharing your place with us!
The flat is very charming and exactly as presented in the listing. Very well equipped kitchen which was lovely to work in. Centrally located, it is walking distance to most of Edinburgh. We had a wonderful time.
Everything was easy and reliable
The apartment enjoys a city centre location and with that, it is easy to explore Edinburgh's great architecture and visit all it's landmark sites. We also benefit from the vast local services in the immediate area - massage and therapy - beauty works and everyday essential services, such as Post Office and laundry.
