For a taste of country estate living Llanfendigaid is the house for you and you won't want for space. With log burners in both the drawing room and living room, a refectory style dining room and 2 kitchen areas, Llanfendigaid does still have a homely feel which is unsurprising as the estate has been in the same family for nearly 800 years! If you can tear yourself away from the estate it is in the Snowdonia National Park so there is plenty of opportunity for walking, mountain biking, birdwatching and plenty of other outdoor activities, or relax on the sand and shingle beach on the edge of estate or make your way to Tywyn, 5 miles away.

Other: Bed linen & towels provided (please bring your own beach towels); 2 wooden cots & 1 highchair available; stairgate available for rear staircase - the design and width of the front staircase makes it unsuitable for a stairgate but if the doors from the dining room to the main hallway are closed this still gives ample space for little ones to explore without having access to the front staircase; Wifi available but given the location of the estate it is satellite based which is priced by the provider on a usage basis. For this reason only access for simple browsing and email is included in the rental - use of additional broadband is subject to additional fee paid direct to the owner as and when used. A £300 security deposit is also required, returned at the end of a successful stay
Outdoors: Approached from a private driveway which sweeps through the lawned front gardens from the lane
some outdoor furniture at the front of the house overlooking croquet lawn. Plenty of additional seating and a firebowl (bring your own charcoal) in a secluded BBQ area set back from the lawns; use of 300 acres of farmland, woodland walks and seating benches; use of a 28' x 14' indoor heated swimming pool. This is shared with 3 other cottages and people staying at the small Caravan Club CL (certified location) on the estate. This is restricted to 5 pitches and is a good distance from the main house and secluded by trees; there is a stream on the estate and children should be supervised. Children should also be supervised in and around the swimming pool
