Lovely apartment in Val Thorens, great view and good location

This ski apartment has a modern comfortable feel and has all the facilities you would expect including separate bedroom with bunks, DVD, dishwasher and full size oven, hob and fridge freezer. There is also a separate hall where you can remove your ski boots etc. The apartment is situated on the first floor and away from the lifts and also faces away from the road so there is no passing traffic. The balcony is south west with panoramic views of the Alps. There is direct access from the ski locker to the main slopes giving easy ski in and out. The Sports Centre, Shopping, Bars and Restaurants are a 2 minute walk, the bus station and secure car parking are also a 2 minute walk. The Ski School meeting point is also close by, approx 5 mins.

We bought this property as it has a home from home feel about it. It has lovely views of the mountains and the bedroom also faces the mountains, so it is nice and quiet at night.

Wonderful Location

For our first experience of VT, we could not have wished for a better one. The apartment was cosy, but spacious enough for 4 adults, and was extremely well equipped. Philip and Helen were a pleasure to organise the accommodation through, and were full of good advice.

I would recommend to all Goitschel 2 for ski hire; book P1 for parking; food from the deli in the Gallerie; and drinks and music at Saloon or the Viking Bar.

Contrary to many reports of noise at other Residences, Cimes de Caron was wonderfully peaceful in the evenings, but still within shooting distance of the main bars and restaurants. It is genuine ski-in, ski-out, but with the option of catching the Cairn gondola to the station about 50 yards from the apartment for those with weary legs!

All in all, a great resort with excellent skiing, topped off by a fantastic apartment suitable for all.

Little gem

Great apartment in perfect location . Couldn't fault our holiday here. Small as described but fantastic value for money. Family of 4 comfortably stayed here with ski out and virtually ski in. Quiet location but 2 min walk to all shops and take aways. The apartment has everything you need and is quick to clean at end of stay. Highly recommend and communication with owners is first class. Would definitely use again.

Clearly a winner......

Just returned from a week in val thorens staying in the above apartment ..from the outset the communication with Phil/Helen and information received about the apt /resort were excellent..

The apt is spacious compared to some we have stayed in and is more than adequately stocked with items you will require ..

If like us you like to be close to the lifts this is for you as the cairn gondola is only a few yards down the road ..

It is a very quiet apt with lovely views onto the mountains which we spent admiring on many occasions ..

The shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance, a very nice small resort ..

We would have no hesitation in booking this apt again and will defenetly be returning ..

Just perfect

Myself and the wife have just returned from our first trip to val thorens and our first time self catering ..

I was a little apprehensive about the s/c and things in general as we had always been in catered chalets, but from the first communication we had from Phil/Helen we we're put at ease..

The forward information about the apt and the resort was truthful and very accurate ..

The apt is in a great position next to the cairn gondola , very quite (not road side) and the view which I spent hours admiring is beautiful ..

The apt was spacious enough for us compared to some we'd stopped in ,very well equipped and plenty off dvds for the evenings unless you take a nice stroll up to the bars/restaurants..

Overall we were more than satisfied with all aspects off this stay and will defenetly be returning in the future ..

The best experience ever

We spent a fantastic week in VT in January, and thanks largely to this wonderful apartment.

We previously rented self-catering residences, and judging on the experience brought quite a lot of stuff for cleaning, but that wasn't necessary as the flat if fully packed with everything you might need. It feels extremely homely, also because the holiday makers leave smth after them and try to keep the supplies topped up. I was really nice to arrive in the evening after all day trip and find camomile tea)

The view is perfect (we literarily watched downhill from our window) as well as the location. There are croissants in the mornings just across the road and a big sports center with a pool and saunas just one minute walk. All the lifts are close, and there is a short cut on the way back from the piste if you find it (you can go down just behind SkiSet IV across the road)

The only thing is that there were two of us which was perfect. I think three is a maximum, four might feel too crowdy (esp because water in the boiler runs out quite quickly, that's why a closely situated pool is quite handy)

Perfect for our needs

First time in Val Thorens. Property was perfect for our needs. Great location, no outside noise. Perfect for our dawn to dusk snowsports needs.
