Lovely apartment in Val Thorens, great view and good location

This ski apartment has a modern comfortable feel and has all the facilities you would expect including separate bedroom with bunks, DVD, dishwasher and full size oven, hob and fridge freezer. There is also a separate hall where you can remove your ski boots etc. The apartment is situated on the first floor and away from the lifts and also faces away from the road so there is no passing traffic. The balcony is south west with panoramic views of the Alps. There is direct access from the ski locker to the main slopes giving easy ski in and out. The Sports Centre, Shopping, Bars and Restaurants are a 2 minute walk, the bus station and secure car parking are also a 2 minute walk. The Ski School meeting point is also close by, approx 5 mins.

This cosy apartment is fully equipped for 4 people. It comprises of an entrance hall with fitted wardrobes, bathroom, WC, bedroom (with bunk beds), living area with sofa bed (2 singles or a double). The bunk bedroom has a seat with storage, shelving and a cupboard for clothing. The living area has a sofa bed, dining for 4 people and a dvd/cd player. The kitchen is fully equipped with a new 4 ring electric hob, built in oven/grill, large fridge freezer and dishwasher. The balcony has seats and excellent south-west views across the mountains. There is also a ski locker that gives direct access to the pistes.

Perfectly formed apartment in great location

Couldn't have asked for more from this apartment. Perfect for a couple, could easily fit one more in but 4 adults, as others have said, might be a bit cramped! Great location, right in the middle of things in VT, and great value for money.

Very well equipped for cooking big meals - proper oven and hob, nice big fridge, loads of plates, pans, cutlery, knives etc. Shower was super and hot too.

Nice touch with the TV - the DVD collection kept us entertained for a quieter night in, but only 2 mins walk to the restaurants and bars.

As with many places in central VT, there are a few people coming and going (merrily) in the wee hours which might disturb some light sleepers but nothing out of the ordinary.

Great location

Not really suitable for more than 2 people due to hot water situation. Only enough for 2 showers when you return from a days skiing.

No grater - we bought one and left it in apartment

Broken scissors

No bread board/chopping board

No bread knife

These were the things that we missed.

You do rely on people before leaving it clean and tidy before you. (Hoover could do with updating)

But saying all this:

The apartment was very quiet, great location to slopes, lift and town centre.

Owner's Response: We have had many groups of 4 this season and there has been no issue with hot water. We can only assume very lengthy showers were taken. We are just back from a week in our apartment and there was no issues with the lack of hot water! Our vacuum is a Dyson and although not the latest model is fully functional. We do stock up on items at the end of each season and this year has included scissors, bread knife and 3 new chopping boards however, we do rely on guests not breaking or removing these items when they stay.

Great Location- skiing right on the doorstep!

Had a great week skiing in Val Thorens and couldn't have asked for a better location - skiing, shops, bus stop etc. all within a few steps! It was nice coming back to this cosy apartment after a tiring day on the slopes. The apartment was well kitted out with the added bonus of a dishwasher. Everything you could ask for from a self-catered ski apartment at a great price!

Warm well-equipped well-placed

Great place to stay, best cooking facilities we've found in a ski resort flat (unless you want to microwave everything). Very comfortable and roomy for a couple, would need good organizational skills for more. Close to the centre of VT and a very short stagger from the Cairn lift at the end of a hard day on the hill.

Little gem

Great apartment in perfect location . Couldn't fault our holiday here. Small as described but fantastic value for money. Family of 4 comfortably stayed here with ski out and virtually ski in. Quiet location but 2 min walk to all shops and take aways. The apartment has everything you need and is quick to clean at end of stay. Highly recommend and communication with owners is first class. Would definitely use again.

Clearly a winner......

Just returned from a week in val thorens staying in the above apartment ..from the outset the communication with Phil/Helen and information received about the apt /resort were excellent..

The apt is spacious compared to some we have stayed in and is more than adequately stocked with items you will require ..

If like us you like to be close to the lifts this is for you as the cairn gondola is only a few yards down the road ..

It is a very quiet apt with lovely views onto the mountains which we spent admiring on many occasions ..

The shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance, a very nice small resort ..

We would have no hesitation in booking this apt again and will defenetly be returning ..
