About Sarah Davidson
My family and I have loved Studland from our first visit and have been every year since. We just love the coast line and gentle waters that allow for a relaxing time for all. My husband grew up on the east coast of South Africa and desperately wanted to find a place in the UK that offered the same. Studland does this with ease as it offers sandy beaches that allow for lovely long walks, safe swimming and rock pools for exploring. We are an outdoors family that enjoy getting out - whether that be on our bikes, a hike or simply enjoying a day on the beach. Convenience is a must for a family with young children and we certainly find Studland and Swanage offer the perfect mix. There are great pubs close to the house and a number of lovely restaurants in nearby Swanage.

Why Sarah Davidson chose Studland
Location is fantastic with the beach only a short stroll away. We also have the heath walk that literally starts across the road. It is very quiet and tranquil and offers a home from home. One of our favourite things is enjoying the log fire in the evenings. The property has the benefit of a secure rear garden and a lovely front garden. We feel like we are in a different world whenever we stay and just love being here.
What makes this House unique
Our children think that South Beach (a very short walk away - even with said children!) is the greatest ever with all the beach toys they keep for children there. With the National Trust owning most of the land around Studland, walkers and nature lovers are spoilt with long, sandy beaches, a forest full of deer and the far-stretching views of the heath.

Holiday stay in Studland.
Lovely clean property in quiet neighbourhood, 5 - 10 mins walk from beach. Nice terraced garden at rear, front garden has quirky features & parking area for 2 cars. Had a great stay here, weather was good which always helps. Loads to see & do in the local area & further afield. Can't fault it!!
Brilliant for studland beaches
Lovely property with a great location for the studland NT beaches. The property itself is really nicely decorated and well thought through. There was even a freezer and heated airer and the owner seems lovely. We’ve had a very enjoyable week. Thank you!!!!
Brilliant location, sweet garden and cottage
Enjoyed our stay very much - such a perfect location in Studland and owner responded immediately we had a minor issue. Gardens well maintained and great for playing outside for the children and for relaxing, Cycling, walking, seaside and local towns all so close. Old Harry Bar 2 minutes walk away does take away pizzas too very handy
Great location , lots to do within walking distance , good place for kids
We loved it, definitely stay there again if we go back .
Exactly what we wanted, stylishly fitted out and decorated, with the lights in the front garden giving a nice welcoming touch.
Studland Bay offers beautiful beaches a short walk from the property. There is an excellent village shop and post office selling necessities, local treats, wine and groceries. The Isle of Purbeck Golf Club is a mile away with magnificent views over the Poole Harbour and Studland. Studland Stables offer horse rides for all abilities, including day trips. Kayaking and paddleboards are available for hire on the beach through Fore/Adventures, who also offer guided sea and forest adventures, and beach and forest school.
The closest town is Swanage 3 miles away; a gorgeous seaside town with two supermarkets, many restaurants, a cinema and a highly regarded diving school. It's famous steam railway can take you to nearby Corfe Castle, a dramatic historical icon.
Other National Trust properties include Kingston Lacy, Hardy's Cottage and Max Gate (Thomas Hardy's home) near Dorchester, as well as D.H. Lawrence's cottage home near Bovington.
The ancient Saxon river town of Wareham is 10 miles away with its Thursday and Saturday markets and fresh produce auction every Thursday. Studland is connected to the nearby seaside resorts of Sandbanks, Bournemouth and Poole by the chain ferry which runs every 20 minutes from Shell Bay. An open top bus runs between Swanage and Bournemouth over the ferry in summer months.
